Hand #119:
Joe McKeehen raised to 800,000 on the button and Daniel Negreanu called. The flop came out A K 10 and Negreanu checked. McKeehen bet 700,000 and Negreanu moved all in for 5.8 million. McKeehen, with over 50 million in chips, called.
Negreanu tabled A 4 (top pair) and McKeehen J 3 (straight and flush draw). The 3 on the turn gave McKeehen further outs. Negreanu now needed to dodge diamonds, Queens, Jacks, and threes in order to take home the pot and stay alive in the tournament.
The dealer burned another card and dealt the river: Q , giving McKeehen a straight and the pot. Daniel Negreanu received $526,000 for his 11th place finish. Close, but no cigar. Negreanu will be missed by many of his fans on this year's final table.
Update:
Daniel Negreanu thanks everyone for all the support
