32 players of 873 entrants returned for the third day of play on Thursday, and, just as planned, the day concluded once a final table of eight players remained. Jonas Christensen, from Denmark, defeated Innes Young and Hunter Cichy and will bring the largest stack (929,000) into today's final table. Christensen is just ahead of Andre Boyer, who beat Ryan Milisits and Toby Lewis, with a stack of 851,000.

Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier defeated a star-packed field of 550 entries in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Six Max event. Mercier received the top prize of $633,357 and his third gold bracelet. His first two bracelets came in Pot-Limit Omaha events.

Franco Ivan Luca is the first player from Argentina to win a bracelet in the 47-year-history of the World Series of Poker. Luca, a 23-year-old poker pro from Buenos Aires, topped a field of 2,150 entrants over four days of play to lay hands on his first gold bracelet and $353,391 in prize money.

Perry Shiao is the winner of the Monster Stack $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event! Shiao, a 24-year-old poker dealer and part-time poker player, bested a field of 7,192 entrants over five days of play to lay hands on his first gold bracelet and the $1,286,942 first-place prize!

Erick Lindgren, a former Full Tilt pro and 2008's WSOP Player of The Year, has filed for bankruptcy for the second time in thee years. According to Blomberg Business, Lindgren owes over $8 million and listed assets of less than $50,000 in Chapter 11 papers on Tuesday in U.S. Bakruptcy Court in Las Vegas.

Toronto-based Sam Greenwood topped a huge field of 1,915 players in Event #22 $1,000 No Limit Hold 'em to become the first Canadian gold bracelet winner at this year's World Series of Poker. In addition to the gold bracelet, he received $318,977 out of the total prize pool of $1,723,500.

When the cards were in the air on the last day of Event #20: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em, the chip counts were as follows:

Guess what? All players started and finished in the same positions! On the final hand, Ben Zamani caught heads-up opponent Natasha Barbour bluffing. Barbour shoved her stack with nothing but 10 high and Zamani called with three of a kind aces - in order words, it wasn't a hard decision to make for Zamani.

There's only one day left to be played of Event #20: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em. Ben Zamani will lead the final five players when play resumes at 1 p.m local time. Zamani bagged up 4,535,000 in chips at the end of play and is closely followed by Natasha Barbour (picture), who was close of being eliminated on Day 3 before doubling up several times to end the day with 3,770,000 in chips.
