The famed Las Vegas casinos may be facing quite a dilemma as tens of thousands of hospitality workers are preparing for a strike next month.

Unions representing Las Vegas casino workers on Tuesday won the right to have a citywide strike as early as June 1 should they be unable to reach a deal with their employers. The voting reached 99% from roughly 25,000 members of the Culinary Local 226 and Bartenders Local 165 that participated in the voting session.

Las Vegas: He has lost $204 million in just 1 year!

Tags: Caesars Palace, Harrahs casino rio, las vegas, Terrance Watanabe
Posted on 07 June 2010 by "T".

The businessman Terrance Watanabe has lost more money at a commercial casino than anyone else has ever done before - according to professor and gambling expert William Thompson at University of Nevada. As you probably already have figured out, it's not small amounts we're talking about here. Terrance Watanabe has lost $204 million in just 1 year at different casinos in Las Vegas. Not enough with that. Terrance is now also risking 28 years behind bars for a false check he issued, in order to pay off his debts of 14.7 million dollars, to Harrah's casino Rio and Caesars Palace.

According to Terrance, he's not owe them anything as they had promised to give him a 30% discount on everything he lost. Terrance has also opened a civil rights case against Harrah's. He claims that they have been giving him prescription drugs, alcohol and other things to keep him happy while losing millions of dollars. However, he has accepted the fact that he has a problem with his gambling and he doesn't want any of the money he lost back.

We will probably hear more about this very soon as the case will be up in court on the 12th of June.
