2019 WSOP: Day 1b of the $10,000 NLHE MAIN EVENT Attracts 1,915 Players

On July 3, Wednesday, the 2019 WSOP Main Event kicked off smoothly with over 1,300 players duking it out on Day 1a. This breaks the record from last year's Day 1a of 925 participants.

WSOP bracelet winner Bryan Campanello was the Day 1a chip leader with 417,500 in his bag, subsequently followed by Raymond Travis Rice (335,000), Timothy Su (297,300), Quentin Roussey (266,400), and Takehiro Kato (259,200).

2017 WSOP Main Event: Scott Blumstein in massive lead after first day of final table concludes with 7 players

Blumstein (left), Hesp (right)The plan for the first day of the 2017 WSOP Main Event final table was play down to 6 players, however, the eliminations took very long and tournament organizers finally called it a day at around 11:00 pm, when only 2 players had been sent packing. The two unfortunate players not to make it through the first day were Ben Lamb (9th for $1,000,000) and Jack Sinclair (8th for $1,200,000).

2017 WSOP Main Event: FINAL TABLE IS SET!
