After a long absence from my blog here is a mini update. I have had a very tough time at work with my boss, and literally I was fighting to keep my job. The situation hasn't been very easy since he became my boss a year and a half ago, but all of that melted away six weeks ago when I saved a huge potential contract from going down the tubes.

The extra hours and stress, combined with a long downswing led me to pretty much stop playing poker for the first three months of 2013, however I started up again recently and my confidence in my game has really been building. I have a decent roll on 888, and on Pokerstars a $50 deposit has grown crazily in the past week while playing NL10, then NL25 and then NL50 Zoom. With two NL50 and one NL100 Zoom tables open today I hit this beauty. I have no idea what the guy with K6 was doing in the hand, as it was heavily raised and reraised preflop - but I am glad he stayed! Smile I think this is the definition of an action hand, although in retrospect I am surprised that PS didn't give me the usual kick to the nuts on this one with an ace on the river Blink

Very nice hand and pot too.
If you can keep it that way you can join the big league and then you can tell your boss
what to do with your job. Smile
Almost every employees dream at some point in their life lol

Yes, a very nice hand mahdrof and good to see you writing in your blog and the forum in general. Glad to hear your poker game is on track and I hope the contract save at work is recognized and appreciated by your Managers.

I recently started a new job with a fittings company that supplies to the automotive industry. They actually think I'm great due to the fact in less then two weeks I've closed out 2 of 3 8D's and implemented a PPAP portfolio that the customer really likes. It's nice to feel appreciated so I hope you gained this also!

Welcome back on the blog mate, i really missed your posts Smile

As for that hand it's sick, also very nice pot if you ask me. I still do not understand, you went all in preflop or after you saw the flop?

Actually, the guy with K6s raised to 4bb, AA reraised to 12bb and one guy called before the play reached me on the big blind. At this point I felt Mr. AA had monsters, I liked that somebody had flatted the big raise but was concerned about calling and being in the middle of an AA vs. KK raise, reraise and re-re-raise situation. So when I flatted the raise and so did Mr. K6o it let me see that very interesting flop.

Looking forward to the weekend. Celebrating my birthday with my family tomorrow, my son has basketball in the morning which is always one of the highlights of my week, and feeling better from a cold that has dragged me down and kept me from going out to play live last night. Angry Ended up playing Zoom, fell asleep a few times and played quite a few hands peering out one bleary eye but won 3 BI in about 75 minutes. Wish I could play right now, hopefully I feel this good tonight.

Played live last night for the first time since last August. It was nice to be out and playing with real chips and cards, and although most people at my table were cool one lady who was giddy/half-drunk/loud/extremely tiresome at my table really got on my nerves. I guess it didn't help that one of the guys at the table was flirting heavily with her and egging her on. Hit some nice hands but was never able to get anything going with my stack and ended up 11th out of 30, didn't help either that I lost half my stack late with KK against guy who raised UTG with T9s with 3/4 of his stack (approx. 11000 stack total), I am right next to him and reraise all in with 21000, and he hits a straight. Very next hand get AA, shove allin hoping somebody will think I am steaming - get called by AJs who flops a nut flush draw Shock Luckily it held but the blinds were getting so big so fast I wasn't able to hang on much longer.

GL on the felt mobsters and mobsterettes. Smile

Glad to see you felt god enough to get out mahdrof. Still fun even if things don't go your way. I dealt with this last weekend playing live.
Actually there was a gal sitting there playing everything and anything in which I sat patiently hoping to knock her out, but of course her 10,6 beat my Q,Q leaving me the one out and paying her my bounty.

I also, like your new term, Mobsterettes. Very creative!

Hey one other thing mahdrof! I'm wanting to cashout 20,000 of my 35,000 Mobpoints. If admin would assits would you be willing to make a 50/50 deal. I mean the only way it will work is if Admin would assist and your okay with the offer.

It's not critical and really don't need to it, but want to. I guess I'd want a $100.00 put on my CARBON account and you keep a $100.00 for yourself. If it's doable!

Thanks mahdrof! I'll ask admin to transfer 20,000 mobpoints to you. In return you can cash them out and then deposit $100 in my CARBON poker account which mohavegree, not greenmohave.

The thing is, there's 3 CARBON poker downloads and I need to make sure we're on the same one. I had to stop using my first account there due to depositing issues. That's why I'm mohavegreen.

SO I'm going to post administration! We'll see what they say! Thanks!

Okay, keep me updated. When the transfer goes through I'll move things along. My nick on Carbon is JRMegabucks.

Well as you probably noticed I requested Admin to transfer 20,000 mobpoints to your BRM account so it's their decision. And, thanks no matter what way this goes!

Just one tip Greenmohave,

I think your better off going through the Support Channels of this website regarding the Mob Points transfer. A forum response will probably take longer.

Victoria Day holiday in Canada today, so feeling pretty chill overall. A few things in no particular order:

I have been venturing back into the world of MTT with good initial results. I still need a lot of improvement, but I have led a lot of the ones I have played in and gone deep more often than I expected. Next Saturday I am eligible to play in several high dollar freerolls at 888 due to my player status, so that will be good practice as well.

My roll on Pokerstars has been up and down, and I have now settled into steady gains at NL25-Zoom. I am hoping to reach a certain dollar value in my roll by the end of June, beyond which I will start withdrawing. Ever since Black Friday I am want to leave more than what I have limited myself to, and beyond that I withdraw.

My roll on 888 has done very well, I reached the limit of what I want to have on any of these websites in the first week of May, and am looking to a nice withdrawal at the end of the month. I don't think I will quite have enough time but I am trying to hit a withdrawal of four figures, leaving behind that magic sum in my account. Cool

In trying to help Greenmohave to withdraw some money from BRM, the money for me from the split will go to my Carbon account as well. I have never played there before, but if things go well I want to show my gratitude by hosting a tourney on Carbon for BRM members. That is, if things go well! Blink

Work is actually back to being very tough. Last week we lost a large customer, and last Friday I think that we lost another one. My boss said that we were supposed to get a phone call late Friday from the VP Finance of the customer, and that if we lost it there were going to be changes. Funny how we stop being a management "team" when the going gets rough, and the finger pointing starts. Luckily I am away on training Tuesday and Wednesday.

Well mahdrof! Administrator transferred the Mobpoints and I know this will take some time to go through so I won't pester you about it. I want to thank you very much along with Admin in doing this for me.
Maybe someday I can return the favor or a favor to someone in need of a little assistance. Thanks for the gesture and following through! Worship Worship Thumbs Up

Yeah, everything is in place: Moneybookers account ready, Carbon Poker account ready, and request to BRM for withdrawal made. Once they transfer to my Moneybookers account I will transfer to Carbon and transfer to you. I am going to consider the split a form of staking, and if I do well on Carbon you will get a regular share of my profits whenever I withdraw. I also want to host a tourney for BRM members with 100 posts or more, so that we end up with regs and can have a little fun. That is, if I do well. If the roll crashes well..... Sad

I'll keep you updated.

Thanks mahdrof for all, but as for the staking it's definitely appreciated, but I'd rather see you put it toward the BRM game your talking about. It's not that I need to cash the points I just wanted to attempt to do it and admin and you were kind enough to make it happen. So put all of the winnings you were referencing to me back into your Mobsters win 100 posts or more game.

I know as admin stated I can't make this a common practice so I'm sure it's a one time thing which makes it even better. I'll save the rest of my points for a couple years and see if the U.S. changes their control on poker policies.

Again BRM and mahdrof, Thanks Beer & Your Winner

Oh and my CARBON account name is mohavegreen instead of greenmohave. Maybe we can play on some of the same tables (SnG's) or get in an MTT together some weekend. Hard for me to play during the week, but I usually play in the $1.10, $3.30 and $5.50 MTT or SnG's. Good LUck

Still no cash in my Moneybookers account Greenie. I'll keep you updated.

I'm not one to pester someone about things! You'll be lucky to have it by the end of the week and I'll be lucky to notice by next Monday since I might be gone for most of the weekend since this is actually my wife and I's 19th anniversary. We're thinking about going to Atlantic City since my cousin will be playing there or the Charlotte NASCAR race. Then again, there's the Indy 500 really close to home here. About 90 miles away. It's her call! I'd be happy staying home, relaxing with the time off work since it's a 3 day weekend and playing poker. She'd probably frown on that gesture.

Thanks for all! Do you think Administration is allowed to accept thank you offers from the Mobsters?
