French Court Denies Rick Salomon's Claim to $2.8M Poker Debt, Rules Poker as Game of Chance

A French court earlier this month ruled that a Saudi Sheikh does not owe high-stakes poker pro Rick Salomon the amount of $2.8 million that he lost in a poker game in the French Riviera in 2014.

Salomon sued Raad al-Khereiji, a scion of one of Saudi Arabia's richest families, claiming that he won the money fair and square during a Texas Hold'em game at the Tiara Miramar Beach hotel on the French Riviera, but the sheikh apparently welched.

Salomon ‘Hashtag King' PonteOn December 1 Friday, news came out regarding a video footage released by York Regional Police in Ontario, Canada, showing a man being viciously beaten inside an illegal card room which happened on June 9 this year. The police now have openly released the video in the hopes that someone could help in the capture of the suspect, who's still apparently at large.

Erick Lindgren In Trouble Over $2.5 Million Debt

In 2012, former Full Tilt Poker owner Howard Lederer revealed to PokerNews that former Full Tilt Poker Pro Erick Lindgren owed the company $2 million dollars. Lederer said that Lindgren received a double-credited $2 million loan in April 2011 by mistake, but the two-time WPT and WSOP champion never gave the extra $2 million received.
