vip-carlVIPStakes Sports betting representative The VIPStakes sports representative that blogged from Brazil during the World Cup is back with a series of Sports Blogs in which he will write about the upcoming Premier League. Here's a short introduction about this season's teams, some predictions and betting advice!
Hull City AFC
Last season:
After an ok start of the league season the team shifted their focus to the cup tournaments during the spring and was for a while in real danger of relegation until a home win to Swansea a couple of rounds before the end more or less guaranteed their safety. The most remembered match of the season was the 6-0-win home to Fulham in the Christmas period. The January buys of Shane Long and Nikola Jelavic turned out to be successful and the duo scored a nine goals between them during the spring season. Funny fact is that they were the only team finishing on the bottom half of the table that managed to beat Liverpool during the season (3-1 at home).
2014/15-season preview:
Hull have acquired the winger duo Robert Snodgrass and Tom Ince together with signing a permanent deal for Spurs youngster Jake Livermore. The fact that they also managed to hold onto their centre back Curtis Davies despite interest from bigger club might be even more important than any new signing. Many experts thought that Davies should’ve been picked for the England WC squad ahead of the likes of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.
Player profile:
With a surname that means a lot in the world of football Tom Ince has now taken the step to the top level of English league football. After having his academy years at Liverpool he moved on to Blackpool from where he was loaned out to Crystal Palace last spring and now the talent is hoping to make his trade in an interesting Hull side this season.
Summary:
Hull City have never been more sexy. Exciting signings and European football makes the Tigers go into this season with a lot of optimism. The last two years have showed Newcastle and Swansea struggling to combine league football with Europa League. If that happens to Hull as well or if their squad is strong enough to challenge in both competitions will be interesting to see.
Prediction:
10th place
Betting suggestion:
Head-2-head vs. Crystal Palace 1.83 under Premier League –> Head-2-Head market.
