Las Vegas Casinos to Reopen on June 4 |

 Nearly three months have passed since The Entertainment Capital of the World has been shut down due to the worldwide pandemic, and now casinos in Las Vegas are set to reopen come June 4.
Nevada experienced two consecutive weeks of reduced numbers in new coronavirus cases and hospitalizations in the state and, assuming that goes on, Governor Steve Sisolak has set a tentative date, June 4, to finally reopen the casinos statewide.
President and CEO of the Nevada Resort Association Virginia Valentine said via email statement, "Our members have spent more than two months preparing for this day. They've put in place enhanced health and safety plans and protocols ... Our members are excited to show off the enhancements they've made that preserve the experience while ensuring the well-being of our employees and visitors."
However, if patrons manage to hit the jackpot, the celebration will be less boisterous inside the casino than in the past.
The Nevada Gaming Commission approved new guidelines for reopening the state's 400+ casino venues. These new guidelines state that the casino would operate 50% its capacity, enforce social distancing on all people, and require frequent cleaning of surfaces and other facilities.
Venues will also need to post signages reminding both employees and patrons to practice good hygiene.
Gaming restrictions will definitely be implemented, including six players only at a craps table, four at roulette and poker, and three at blackjack. Plastic dividers will separate dealers from players and players from each other at the Bellagio, with three per table. Some slot machines will not be available for play to discourage players from sitting next to each other.
Caesars Palace general manager Sean McBurney said, "You're going to see a lot of social distancing. If there's crowding, it's every employee's responsibility to ensure there's social distancing. ... Visually, you'll still see a lot of color and activity, but you won't be able to play every machine."
MGM Resorts International acting chief executive and president Bill Hornbuckle said, "We all know what we've gone through for the last 10 weeks. No one's having fun. The simple idea that I could get out, come to a resort, lay at a pool, enjoy a nice dinner, sit at a blackjack table. There's something to be said for all of that."

Closing the businesses it was a good thing i believe, and not only.
Who knows how bad things could have been right now, if all these measures were never in place.
And most of the times, the ones that speak like this, are the ones outside the dance,
as we say here.
Would you have the same beliefs if someone from your circle friend, or family had died
from the virus?
And another thing. There are many, way too many, including in this forum, that they are trying
to make their point right, by just saying : more people are dying daily, from heart problems
for example, etc.
Well i guess i am naive and ignorant, because i didnt know if you have heart problems,
and you sneeze on another person's face will catch a heart problem too...
Try for a change to make a comparison with the same terms. Not different.
If there is a huge difference there is no meaning trying to compare...

| everything can change in few days again,no matter will they will have bigger number of people that have corona or they will have problems with this protests in every town!even now nba players dont want to continue with season in disney world,because of black life matter and corona!we can see that everything is backed in china,now in beijing on one market,so people will be scared,no matter how many of them will die or not!

| In some countries , there are some very good habits , followed by the societies , to protect themselves from illnesses , and ofcourse , above all ,their fellow countrymen and people. Like wearin masks when they are ill ,even coughing a little only , that's regarded as civilised behavior there , as a sign of respectful behavior . In most countries , in the past , if you wore a mask , you would be considered as a strange man , or a very very sick man , or a person with cancer ..... lol . . Extremely rare to see that . At least , with this crisis , I hope some people change their habits and way of seeing things ....

| In the United States of America restrictions were everywhere but a good example is Belarus where they had casinos but also football or normal lives. Why they didn't do that in Russia, where there is another leader who does not listen to the world system? It is doubtful what happened on the planet during this time.

Good will be if everything goes back to normality once again , every business to reopen , restrictions to seize to exist anymore , at least in the north hemisphere of earth , lol
I see Belarus and Greece , two countries with the same population . Belarus didn't follow many restriction I think or very very few . Greece was in complete isolation . Belarus deaths 312 , Grece deaths 180 (by corona virus ) . Sweden , same population , didn't folow any restriction or very very few , it has 5k losses , ofcourse it's not 100k , but still it's a lot , but it had no isolation measures , , so it is logical to have 3-10 more infections than other coutries on average , not only by corona , but by any virus , transmitted illness or desease . Then again it's not 100 or 1000 times more , something to think about .... Also these deaths , most of them are , like in all other countries , old people with preexisted illnesses and bad health problems .... And for any death , cause , if you had corona virus in your blood , corona virus will be the death cause ...

What bothers me a lot are the masks which people must wear on their faces even in conditions of greater heat. This is an ugly attack on humanity because those useless things do not filter anything. The situation is painful because people get sick of other things.

Masks defends the world from you. They are not meant to protect you. If everyone put on masks whenever social distancing was not possible, than the Corona Virus would be long gone by now.
This is the same as medical poeple putting their masks on whenever doing surgery. It's not to protect them but to protect the poeple from the doctor's viruses.
Same goes with washing hands much more intentionally than usual. I wish poeple would follow regulations, so we could end with this thing already.

| you can talk whatever you want,but you know what situation is when again border between canada and america will stay closed for 30 days more!this countries have longest border on world and they dont want to allow people to travel,how can you expect that they will allow other tourists to come in las vegas or other places!

| Masks probably are to protect others from the illness that you have , this is the basic use of them nowadays , although people tend to think the opposite , that this protects them from theothers who are infected . Ofcourse still you get some protection form the others or from the environment , don't you ?? Children with very weakend immune system or cancer do wear masks to be protected , don't they ???

Yes, masks can help to protect you *if* you know how to use them right. Although using masks seems intuitive, if you misuse them you really just making things worse.
First, you must still keep social distancing as much as possible. Second, you shouldn't touch your face or play with the mask often. when you remove the mask, you should throw it away and wash your hands and face.
I use the same mask for days and days, keep playing with it up and down and touch my face all the time. I put on the mask to protect others, if I have the virus and not vise versa.

The mask does not filter because they are of poor quality. There are other more expensive ones, but in the end everything is a borderless mess. People can get hypoxia or other diseases because of masks that are not useful. The lungs will suffer anyway.

| every day we have more and more new people with corona in lot of countries,especially in beijing now,so you can in expect in lot of other countries problems like this!even in europe we have bigger number of this,no matter that doctors told us that on big temperatures we will have less people with corona!so we can expect in america also this problem,so its question what will happen in las vegas also!

India that have passed the first wave pretty well are now getting hit really hard with a second wave, with hospitals crashing and unable to povide medical care to the poeple. This nightmare can happen everywhere if poeple will not understand that social distancing must remain until we have a cure or vaccin to the virus.
Over here we have more and more sick people, but most of them are in mild condition, probably because the elderly still taking care of themslves and most sick people are young.
I really hope it doesn't get out of control.

More casinos are opening these day in Las Vegas , more to come in the following weeks . Still , the restrictions are many , allowing short handed tables , 5 players on each , not good enough , but I believe things will go better in the future , allowing more players to play on every table , more games to take place . This , if virus spread do not get worse , cause then things will go back , bringing again isolation and closed poker rooms and casinos . Players , dealers , staff , all have to be casefull , followint the rules the federal government or the states impose for the good operation of casinos

I do not know what is happening in India in relation to COVID 19 but i read yesterday that several Indian soldiers were killed in clashes with the Chinese after being thrown from the top. It was a general fight between hundreds of soldiers. Anyway, the USA and Las Vegas will return to normal.

I also read this news for the conflict between chinese and indian troops , killing 20 indian soldiers , don't know for the chinese losses , really very concerning cause they are both nuclear powers .
I read tensions have deescalated , I hope this is true .
Now , for the COVID-19 , I heard they had a new wave , a large number of new infections . The dead by this virus are over 12.000 , they have the 8th position in more victims worldwide . But inspite of this , they relaxed and uplifted alot of their restriction , leaving the complete isolation status . Really strange ....

It was the other way around. they eased the the restriction too early and got hit really hard with the second wave. Now they don't know if to put all the restriction back again or try to get through the wave somehow. In the Meantome, the situation there is getting worse by the day. Together with Iran and to some extent the US, we can see that the virus is going nowhere and we should not take it too lightly yet.
Keep healthy and take care of yourself, wherever you are.

In my country, the state of emergency has been extended until August 20 because the fools have not sold all their masks worth several billion euros. There was no need for such a thing... ( most police officers in general did not even wear masks ).

The cost of the restaurants is far higher than all the masks sold. No country is having restriction to all mala, they do it because the cost of disaster, is happens is far greater than the cost of restrictions.
All the world is trying to find the right path between free market and restrictions. Profile from selling masks is not part of the equation.

| you can expect for sure that they will close again countries,no matter where you live!even in my country again we have grow of corona in last days!it was over 10 new people every day,so this must come in usa and other countries again!just hope that they will not close everything now when its summer and that we will have normal two months to enjoy!

Anything against the population is part of this very horrible equation. Companies that sell masks belong to influential people ... Bookmakers and casinos opened on June 15 in my country. USA it remains number 1 to total games in this world and it is normal for them to open as well.

| Nobody that sells masks are with high power. It is manufactured in China and sold though several distributors. Anyway, this is small change with the costs of either keeping the restrictions it removing them. Any mistake causes lists is billions is dollars. No need to look for conspiracies, especially not with the masks.

One of the problems with Corona that it can really hard the lungs irreversibly. For sports players this could even mean the end of their careers.
Hope Nola is okay because I really want to see him brake records.

| Some protection measueswill help maintaining this spread of this virus under control , so casinos will be able to open all and people to work , players to start earnng their livving Protection measurres and everything will be fine . I hope all businessesopen again ,and above all , I hope we don't have a turn back to the worse isolations days , that woyld be awfull to happen globally . Ofcourse some will get infected in the future , without isolation it's absolutely normal , forcorona , for any virus or infection . Doesn't count the individual icidents , but the whole picture matters
