Whe you run bad just take a break for the day. No need trying to recover your losses on the same day.
Such thing almost never happens, and results in worst outcomes.
Pretty much your bankroll is still there, and you have plenty of time to play.
Good luck, and dont play any more games today Smile

well Ronin, must admit that you're going through a tough patch here, but cheer up things aren't always what they are... maybe it's just a small setback before a magnificent run to the very top (and there might be lots of big boobed blonds sitting and waiting for you at the top)... or you can actually go bust in no time and then thank poker gods that you didn't have to spend 2 years and go busto 1-2 days before hitting the 2 year mark...

This. 100%.
U should probably start to pick tables with more caution too.

G'day mates

1st mobber ...

You are absolutely right!
I did heed your good advice and walked away from playing until this morning.
I had a positive result on my 1st session today Big Smile
Current bankroll $85.35

2nd bowie1984 ...

You are also right but it can't be done on PartyPoker.
This morning when I log in there was only 2163 players online playing poker.
Right this second PartyPoker is showing there is 3323 players on 1551 tables.
When I open the NL2 tables there is only 1 table being shown with 9 players, and 1 table with 3 players on it. The NL4 tables is even worse right now with 1 table with just 5 players on it.
The NL10 tables at least have 3 tables with 9 players on them.

Ok lets look at PStars,
The first thing I see is that there is 91367 players online playing poker.
NL2 has a very long list to scroll down and chose from, probably over 100 full tables.
NL5 has a shorter list but it is at least 50 more tables to pick from.
NL10 look about the same as NL5 does so at least 50 tables to pick from as well.

I think what I really need to do is move my challenge over to PStars simply because they have the player volume I need and Party just does not. In fact Sunday afternoon they still had perhaps a 10th what PStars had on playing.
Gone are the high days of Party being the worlds largest poker site.

you will play against me if you move to stars Tongue I am currently playing NL5 4 tables, but Ill move soon up to NL10 Blink

G'day mates

Well I just finished a very nice session of poker.
It was a positive result which pleases me.
I started with a bankroll of $85.35 and grinded it up to my new level.

Current bankroll is Dollar 95.67

I am seriously thinking about cashing everything out and moving this from Party to PStars.
Today at 4:30pm there was 9056 players on party and when I looked at PokerStars there was 158967 players. The difference in player volume is just so important, I wanted to play on 4 tables but only 3 tables had players on them.
I made do and made money though Smile

like I said you will play with me if you play NL5, but in few session if I make good profit Ill move to NL10

Before you make the change to stars you better look to the money exchange rate just selling and buying you will lose approx. 10% of your BR. is it worthed. Question Question Question

Good to see you gaining ground, on your last best score so far in this goal.
If you keep your mind to ti without changing limits, your story so far shows that you can make it.
Good luck with your new sessions and keep us updated Smile

Well Done man! this is fantastic! It reminds me of Chris fergasuns 50k challenge a few years ago, he started with freerolls and worked it to $50,000 with in two years I believe! he stuck to the same principles and had a long term goal Smile Good luck to you I will be rooting for ya!

Ronin

Nice to see you re back or still at the poker tables with a new challenge.
As i said before I am sure you have the capabilities for it ... just be patient and play your a game in poker.
I would advise you to keep to your numbers of bankrollmanagenent (prefer to stick a bit longer to a lower level than to go a level higher to soon) and also quit a session when you loose more than 10 % of your bankroll.

things are pretty slow at Party so switching to Stars is the right move so that I can rail but most importantly you will have greater volume of games there which will make this challenge more interesting to follow.

Someone has already said in here a couple of times how to avoid the currency exchange fees,
in Poker stars, with multiple currencies.
If im not mistaken it was marqis, but cant remember right at this point Smile
Look it up though, to find his post.
Why paying fees if there is a reason to avoid them?

I know what you mean i did it myself but you are not avoiding the currency exchange however it cost a little less. the way to do is deposit in Canadian money and have stars make the change in US it cost approx. 2.5% less than if you make your deposit in US first. Smile Smile

G'day mates

This challenge is officially on hold until I get my bankroll onto PokerStars.
I need the volume in order to get decent table selection.
I will also have the ability to play anytime I want unlike on Party.
I will let you know as soon as it begin again.

G'day mates

Well I have been eagerly waiting my cash out from PartyPoker to arrive into my bank account so that I could transfer it onto my PokerStars account and continue with the ascension challenge.
Today I received the following message from PartyPoker...

Gamble Responsibly

I have rechecked the information given to them and it is correct.
Contacted my credit union and have been informed that due to NEW Canadian banking laws which have been passed by our Fracking government they are no longer legally allowed to accept direct deposits from online gambling sites.

So ok fine but when I logged back onto my PartyPoker account there is less money in my account then I cashed out for.
Why I asked... Yep you guessed it, I was charged a fee for the failed cash out attempt.
I am unhappy but it seems there is nothing I can do right now.
Will try to figure something out again later today.
Just wanted to update you all.

Ronin Aww crap!

I really do not understand i recently made two withdrawals from Party Poker to my bank by electronic transfer one was on june 26-2015 and the other july 16-2015 received in my account without any problem. Probably it is your credit union that wont accept this kind of transaction. Question Question

Poor you because I see that Canadian are limited when it comes to choose which payment method to use for online transaction you are using bank transfer which we all know is the method that takes a long time then it's worse as it was a failure too, hope things will get better and you get back on track as soon as possible. Good luck with your cashout.
