How to make your players feel like real lowrollers? Posting that some player has won half a million in one day and then mentioning a 100 buck bonus.

But they show a lot of insane moves. huge bets with nothing or low pair. All-in with only high pair and the board gives both S8 draw, flush draw or have paired. It is obviously that they do not think of the money as much as we see at the lower tables. crazy - wild but fun to watch from time to time.

pretty all time, you cant pay any amount for the rushes they would be getting, the adrenalin alone is worth a million.and beating the best, all good.

It's poker come full circle. Through all the levels up from microstakes the game evolves and it becomes harder to read your opponents etc. But once you reach the stakes they are playing it's almost like playmoney again because they have to make really strange plays to remain unpredictable and hard to read.

All these players have a history of playing against each other. Thats why some of their moves look crazy. The game is not anonymous but totally connected to the knowledge of each other.
I watched the session live when Ziiigmund breached the 1 million border at the table and the session on the following day when he was at 770,000 again, and you could really see the game behind the game in some hands against Ivey and Antonius. Huuuge bluffs, called with 3d pair or even bottom pair, masterly value bets with simple top pair/medium kicker on the river, a perfect value bet by Ivey with Q 10 two pair, called by Ziigmund, although the board made a flush and a boat possible...
These guys definetly know what theyre doing. Okay, sometimes Gus doesnt seem to care too much, but in general its a wonderful game theyre showing.

I wonder what would happen if the entire poker world were granted 'high roller' status and staked for $1 million.
How good would these pros really be if they had competition from everyone, not just the 100+ people they only play.

One thing is sure, this is great entertaining for FTP whose aim is to be more popular than PS & they are on the right way for it.

Actually they have still a long way to go. On average there are double the amount of players on stars compared to full tilt.

Kenboiols | 19/10/2008 00:31:17 GMT |
think those pros would crush the game even if there were more players there!
|
scl1975 | 19/10/2008 03:01:49 GMT |
yeah they would smash most players easily why they play where they do.why we are there pawns.

Just watch the cash game episodes of poker after dark on pokertube. There is one unknown guy (Tiller). It does not look like the pros are having problems playing him.
