Patrik Antonius, the Finnish poker pro, has played and followed Isildur1 since he started showing up at Full Tilt poker. In a recent interview with a poker magazine, Patrik Antonius gave his opinion about Isildur1 and his way of playing poker.

"At first, I wasn't very impressed about the way he played poker. But at that time we played fewer tables than he wanted to. However, I noticed that Isildur1 is a great player when it comes to playing many tables at the same time as he then plays a very aggressive style of poker which gives him a great advantage against many of the world's best players."

Patrik continues...

"Every time I thought I figured out how he's playing, he changed tactics. It seems like he always have a plan and a thought behind every single move he makes. And when he's bluffing, it's not a thoughtless move."

Patrik about Isildur1's money management
"When it comes to such a talented and young poker player as Isildur1, he probably doesn't have a lot of expenses, and even if he goes broke and only have for example $2000 left, I still think that he easily could build up a $1 million dollar bankroll in a year. All of the best players, including me, have been taking many risks on the way to the top. The ones that fail on the way just have to move down in stakes and start building up their bankroll again."

its pretty sure that every pro players have all different bankroll management plans. Some of them takes very high risks, some don't.
Isildur has the skill to build up his bankroll again and again, what he need is to stabilize at high stakes, his variance is too high atm

they all know now that can be beaten by Isildur1 so they all are impressed of his great play Worship Shock

Having battled with Isildur1, Patrick can see the talent and capabilities Isildur1 has to make a comeback. I also think he nailed it when he said he thinks the guy doesn't have many expenses, just like in a post I did earlier when Tony G revealed Isildur1 is Viktor "Blom90" Blom. The two seem to add up if anyone did some searching into it.

I think its one of the best way to judge Isildur : just listen those who plays versus him. And when its a really good player that say all those thing, it thing its reliable.

Considering this isnt just a random forum post, means Isildur is a good player,he got carried with his good streak , probably cuz of his age/inexperience

If PA believes in him, that's good enough for me!
 kingpapet12/12/2009 09:40:36 GMT
well isilur easily turned 5 mill to probably 0 in just 6 weeks. He said it himself to brian hastings "take all my money, i dont care" in his last session. HOEFULLY isildur has a great bankroll managment and only lost say 10 percent of his bankroll.
Unfortunetly i dont think that is the case
 Davoodoo12/12/2009 10:46:49 GMT
Patrik is only enqouraging isildur to keep on playing high stakes so all the pros can milk isildurs last money ...

Patrik Antonius is very professional when it comes to comments about other players. You can see that he has been in the picture for some time now. A great guy if you ask me!

I don't know if he means the things about Isuldur1, but I won't stop saying that with Isuldur1 comes along a great show. High stakes poker hasn't been this attractive and entertaining before.
 MANUEDO14/12/2009 11:04:36 GMT
Don't know if he's a great player or not; for sure Antonius is a great and I have to trust him. We will have the proof when Isildur will begin to play big live tournaments like EPT.
 Wargtass14/12/2009 12:17:30 GMT
I don't really trust in my Swedish brother. Even though he has reached a far point, his swings are far to big. He should tune his aggressive playstyle down a bit.
