PokerStars: Swedish artist accused of cheating in MTT

Tags: cheating, dilba, pokerstars.
Posted on 06 August 2009 by "T".

The Swedish singer, Dilba, started off her poker career a couple of years ago and became a well known and respected female poker player after her apperences in the Swedish poker show "Pokermiljonen". After her huge success in "Pokermiljonen", she has been playing in bigger tournaments all around the world and gotten a lot of attention from Swedish media. Now however, she's in big trouble after that PokerStars security department found out that she has been playing with 2 accounts in the same multi table tournament (MTT). PokerStars has now blocked her account and frozen her winnings from the MTT she cheated in. Swedish media has been trying to contact Dilba for more information about this, but she just answer them, -"No comments". In her own blog, she writes that it was a mistake, and that it wont happen again. Whether PokerStars will unblock her account or not, is something we probably will hear more about in a near future.

Although she is a star, i believe Pokerstars shouldnt give her winnings back. Their Terms and Conditions are very clear about this subject. It is forbidden! Ok, some of us have had an acount 10 years ago somewhere and now return to play there and creat another acount because they didnt remember. They live in other address, other phone number, other nick name and poker room doesnt suspects of ilegal action, but it is! There should be more ways of poker rooms control ilegal activities, so users can know from the start and not only when they try to withdraw their winnings.

She's a girl, you can't expect more of her...

Darreman your comment is about as welcome as swineflu. Unnecessary.Every day us women put up with attitudes like yours in poker and it stinks. I wouldn't mind but most of you chauvinists can't play for ****. Oh you can win but you sure as hell can't play
She did something wrong for whatever daft reason it's not a gender issue. The way shes been dealt with is as it should be.Rules are rules we might not always like them but if you choose to break them suffer the consequences. No sympathy here.

Lets face it if she cheats like this on 1 site she will do it on all.
What happens if you cheat in vegas? you get a sore bum right..
So should she, this is day light robbery.
But the sites need to do more than they do to stop this action.
I could if I wanted to do this on UB.
Ironic how she is wearing black and white stripes.

Ridiculous. There are far more grievous abuses of the rules happening on every site daily than someone having multiple accounts. I think if you were to really get down to it this probably happens far more often than anyone knows.

By your reasoning than those people who come back after 10 years and create a new account are just as guilty as those who knowingly create another account. So should those people some point down the road have their winnings appropriated by the site?

In my opinion her tourney history should be checked and anywhere her second account shows up her winnings for that tourney should be forfeit.

Multiaccounting seems to be common on stars. She is not the first half way known player who did this. Stars usually locks the accounts, at least for some time.

Well for those of us not from Sweden friend (and I use the term loosely), if you are going to post ridiculous comments based upon articles by others I suggest you produce links.

Also the fact that she is a woman who may be complaining about something does not make it 'feminist shiet'. That's all I have to say about it and will respond no more to ridiculously unsupported opinions. Thank you and good bye.

I will have to take your word on it since I don't know what it says. However, in the future if you want to make claims like you did in your original post give sources or keep your opinion to yourself because comments like those you made will not be looked upon kindly by the civilized members of this site.

Have a good one.

agreed. she deserves a permanent ban.

it would be an bad example if pokerstars is not gonna ban her anyways. i remember durrr had also 2 accounts as he won a huge tourny on PS. wonder what happen to him? guess superpros have special privilegs. if thats the case then im also gonna do multiaccount.
its sad to read when a pro who has the money and the skill needs to cheat and take advantage of multiaccount.
 jevo07/08/2009 02:34:06 GMT
It was reported too that David benyaminge had two on FT, and was now using his old one. Frogyfuka
 sindbad07/08/2009 05:38:29 GMT
poker is a game of adrenaline, and you must have control. if greed takes over you. your jus another failure here. have to keep your cool. n dont be a fool Smile
 Phospate2207/08/2009 06:04:02 GMT
Thats suck really bad..., man pffff two many good players do thats shit, the poker could be clean and could be not, thats all. The woman was dumb thats all, a really dumb one.
 neophron07/08/2009 07:59:59 GMT
She have 2 accounts on PS, but havent played both at the same time. Her second account was played with once during 18 months, doesent sound like she had found a brilliant way to cheat . A warning should be enough, closing her accounts is to hard.
 ACE00708/08/2009 12:48:09 GMT
anyone out there must have been tempted to create another account to get the money Blink
 Ragasha10/08/2009 12:58:36 GMT
Actually I'm not even blaming her if she did play two tournaments on both accounts, unless stars made it VERY clear she wasn't supposed too. How are you supposed to really know you're not suppose to play two accounts when they give you two accounts to play with (especially if you're a fish)?
 AcesBenji10/08/2009 14:41:54 GMT
Women fail at Poker anyways. Mayswell just ban them all now.
 IdiocracyLT11/08/2009 05:27:36 GMT
That is right that PokerStars frozen her winnings. Her words "That it was a mistake, and that it wont happen again" are not honest. I hope PokerStars won't unblock her account.
 Phospate2211/08/2009 06:17:08 GMT
that sucks for her.... but you have to stick to the rules, so her own fault.
Hehehe dumb player cheating, dont try it if you dont capable to do it good.
