During season 4 of Million Dollar Cash Game the biggest pot in the history of telvised poker was played. 3 deep stacked players were sitting at the poker table, Patrik Antonius, Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey. However, it came to be Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan who were involved in this historic hand.
This is how the hand was played out: Blinds $1000/$2000+$500 Ante Tom Dwan ($538,000) opens up the pot with a "small bet" from the button and Phil Ivey ($1,137,600) re-raise to $23,000. Antonius fold & Dwan call.
The pot is now $49,500 when the flop J35 lands on the table. Ivey bets out $35,000. Tom Dwan thinks for a while before he decides to make the call. The pot is now $119,500.
The turn card is a 4. Ivey bets $90,000 almost straight away. Tom Dwan sits quite, shuffling his poker chips for a while before he announces a raise of $232,000. Ivey looks at Tom Dwan's chips for a few moments before he says the magical words "All in". Tom Dwan instant calls.
Ivey shows 2A for a straight. But to his alarm he's beaten as Tom Dwan has 76 - nut straight. Phil Ivey is now drawing dead. In other words, the river card J is no help at all. Tom Dwan takes home the pot of $1,108,500. Phil Ivey looks a bit shocked and disappointed as more than half of his stack is shipped over to Tom Dwan.
After that, I'm sure Ivey is no longer in top of the all time money list! I can't understand Tom Dwan call in flop but he was very very lucky because 4 in turn gave a str8 to both of them. What a hand!
Phil Ivey has been doing pretty bad a of late, Cant believe he went all in when 345 was on board, He shoulda checked to see what Dwan was going to bet, ivey might have saved a little but all in with bottom straight in not the way to go

No? Its 3handed cash game, for me any time any day, cant fold that.
Yea it's easy to say... u can check that , u can fold that etc.... But think if u would be at that pot.... u already put nice cash into it... u can get the all cash in one (that's how he was thinking) and it's low possiblity someone would do so weird moves like Dwan to check big raise for gutshot so Ivey could think he was on FD or something else. Dwan was just lucky... but pot was nice ^^.
Such a big pot and patrik still looks like hes falling asleep lol. Now imagine if Phil Helmuth was in Ivey's position, against Durrrr no less. It would have been one of the most entertaining moments in poker lol

I agree, you cannot fold this hand. Dwan's call in flop is a little crazy and confuses Ivey giving him wrong information: he was possibly carrying a pair. After a raise it's a clear all-in. Simply bad luck for Ivey but he played well in my humble opinion.
wow so hard to take even if you are rich like phil ivey he lost like 600k in 1 hand tom durrr dwan is a luckbox but hes also a great poker player look a cash game on tv and tom dwan here 9/10 he make profit. ivey look shocked and think was a little bit angry againt durrr
thats why i hate tom sooooo much,he had no right calling what was it 34.000$ with 6-7 with his only chance was to catch a 4,and he does, thats just to GROSS,,well he better be good at poker because he sure is ugly, and i dont see any good looking women in his life, lol, lol, unless he livesa in vegas and keeps his wallet open, lol, lol, lol

o my God what a hand !but best is when ivey couldnt close his mouth when he lost hand!but how sick, you are sure that you have best hand with A 2 and then opponent show 7 6,my God huge money in one hand!really great video!
That hand is very very sick. I dont blame Ivey all in knowing that Durrr over bets alot the turn and river, but its unbelieble howlucky tom dwan was. I am sure Patrick was thinking in the end of the hand how fish Durrr is.

Patrick is probably thinking "If that were me, I would strangle the dumb f*ck right here!" But seriously, Dwan plays a fair number of these marginal hands and you always see on television the ones that hit. Can't blame Ivey for pushing in 3 handed play. Sick amount of money on the table with three great players, some sh*t is sure to go down and Ivey got whacked this time. Next time probably reversed.
