It ended up being Phil Ivey, Justin "boostedJ" Smith and Moritz "Cattenatio" Kranich who were the 3 last players at the final table in World Poker Tour Bellagio Cup VI in Las Vegas. Phil Ivey doesn't need any presentation, but the other 2 might not be that familiar to many. Both Smith and Kranich have been extremely successful online and live in the past few years. For example Smith ended up 3rd in last year's Bellagio Cup and Kranich took home this year's EPT Deauville.
Anyhow, it came to be the german poker pro Kranich who took home the tournament after a long heads up against Justin Smith. For the win he received nothing less than $875,150. This is Moritz first WPT title.
Final table results:
1. Moritz Kranich, $875 150 2. Justin Smith, $594 755 3. Phil Ivey, $363 650 4. John Caridad, $237 902 5. Robert Akery, $169 930 6. Eric Afriat, $118 950
Here is an interview with Kranich after the win. Seems like the interviewer, Kimberly Lansing, makes him a bit nervous. Well, I don't blame him for that!
