The WPT Super High Roller was the first-ever event with a $100,000 buy-in in the U.S, and the turnout was a huge success! Not less than 29 players entered the tournament and made it one of the most interesting & thrilling tournaments in WPT history.
Bonomo, Rajkumar, Negreanu, Lindgren and Seidel made it to the final table after several hours of play. Of these players, Erik Seidel and Erick Lindgren ended up playing heads-up. However, during level 20, both players decided to take a break and continue the day after (Friday).
Yesterday (Friday), Seidel returned to a 7,120,000 stack and Lindgren 4,480,000 and the game was on again. Erik Seidel out-shined Lindgren and laid hands on the first place prize of $1,092,000. Erick Lindgren got $700,500 as runner-up. It seems like nothing and no one can stop Erik Seidel this year. In total he has won $5.4 million this year and he's also the biggest winner in live tournament history.
