After 2 days and several hours of final table action, the PCA Super High Roller event's player field had been narrowed down from 30 to only 2 players, Viktor Blom and Dan Shak. It was a quite short heads-up match that mostly went the young Swede's way. And it didn't take long before the final hand was played:

9Diamond7Club6HeartQHeart was on the table and Blom betted 180,000. Dan Shak moved all in almost straight away. Blom called with KClub QSpade, and Shak flipped over AHeart5Heart. The turn card was the 4Spade and Blom took home the tournament.

Viktor Blom received the first prize of $1,254,400 and a bracelet worth approximately €25,000. This is his first tournament win and the second tournament cash of his career.

"It feels really good," said Blom. "I have never done this well in any tournament before, and I'm really lucky to do so well in this specific tournament. I have worked on my tournament play. In all the tournaments I played last year, I played bad. It feels good to succeed.

"I really appreciate this win, and I love the Bahamas," he said, before adding. "It's sick."

"It feels even better to win here, at this time, at this place. After the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, I'll be taking it easy for awhile, and then I'll travel to a few upcoming EPT's. I'm looking forward to it. After that, I'll take a vacation for awhile."

I wouldn’t say this was Blom if I saw this picture out of context. Is this a new look or the other picture was very old? Anyway, if it’s a new look, it gave him luck! What a nice way to start the new year. Still want to see if he will manage to reach the $5 million profit in the end of 2012…
