After a successful launch in Italy, PokerStars has now also released its mobile app to players in the United Kingdom as well. This means that players in Italy, England, Scotland and Wales now can play Hold'em and Omaha for real-money/play-money on PokerStars on their iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android devices.

According to PokerStars blog, more countries will be able to use this App in the near future. Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree is one of the persons who have tried out the new Mobile App. This is what she had to say about it:

"PokerStars Mobile is going to transform where and when I play poker - I now have access to the biggest tournaments and all my favourite cash games, even when I'm not in front of my computer. I plan to play all the upcoming UKIPT events and will now be able to play some poker when travelling to or from a tournament."

Just sounds all a it risky to me, then again NOTW is no longer with us, so phone hacking is less common.
"I plan to play all the upcoming UKIPT" So was I Liv (well play one)until I seen the locations, why no Liverpool, Manchester, sheffeld or even Leeds, why play them in stupid locations.

I tried this on the train home from work yesterday (990 2c SNG), lost signal after about 15 minutes. When I got the signal back my table had been closed but I wasn't taken to another one. I checked in the lobby and I still had chips but I couldn't open the table i was on. Obviously still some bugs to iron out.

Always one step ahead from the others. It is never late, but apps like this should have already been created before. With the grown of the sells of smartphones, online poker companies should have created this android and windows mobile apps before, if they did they would already be counting the profits for following this new technological steps. With the game in the pocket anywhere they go, online players can start playing more. I guess we can start watching the creation new types of games, faster, for people who is bored waiting for the bus, or for that coffee break for people who don’t drink coffee…

I would only be interested if the rush version of their game will be available on iphone.

A regular table would be way too boring to play on my phone. Still, it's a pretty cool feature when you are traveling Smile

I can make Swansea in about 3hrs on a good day, a real good day....and that's my closest game, but much rather Swansea than London, B+B decent rates and within distance(venue to B+B) and much better hospitality.
But looks like I will skip UKIPT this year for now.
