According to Forbes, United States Senator John McCain was playing poker on his iPhone during a 3+ hour senate hearing on whether or not the country should send missiles into Syria and get involved in a war that has claimed over 100,000 lives so far.
The image of McCain's mobile phone was taken by Washington Post photographer Melina Mara, and after it was passed on to Twitter, McCain tweeted the following:
Open-Face Chinese poker has become very popular over the past 1-2 years or so. Barry Greenstein is relatively new to the game and recently played it online using a popular App for iPhone/iPad.
"I was told then by some people that many were playing Open-Face Chinese on an app that's available for iPhones and the iPad. So when I got home I downloaded the app, and I started playing just for fun against some people. You can even play against the app itself," Greenstein wrote on his latest blog.
According to a recent article in The Telegraph, photographers from the Assembly's press balcony caught several, including ministers, playing poker, ordering clothes, reading adult cartoons etc on their tablets and mobiles in the chamber sessions instead of lawmaking. Below are parts from The Telegraph's article.
Danièle Hoffmann, Socialist MP for Paris admitted to reading the papers via her tablet. "It's very practical. We're totally up to date and will soon receive amendments directly online, which will be progress," she told Le Parisien (a French newspaper).

According to PokerStars blog, more countries will be able to use this App in the near future. Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree is one of the persons who have tried out the new Mobile App. This is what she had to say about it:
"PokerStars Mobile is going to transform where and when I play poker - I now have access to the biggest tournaments and all my favourite cash games, even when I'm not in front of my computer. I plan to play all the upcoming UKIPT events and will now be able to play some poker when travelling to or from a tournament."
