Aussie Millions Main Event: Ivey and Antonius close in on the final table!

A total of 629 players entered the 2013 Aussie Millions Main Event, which created a total prize pool for AU$6,290,000. The third day kicked off a few hours ago with 69 surviors - and now there are only 36 left!

Ray Ellis leads the pack with 1,044,000 chips, Patrik Antonius (Day 1c winner) is not far behind with a stack of 957,000. Apart from Antonius, Phil Ivey (399k) and Dan Shak (596k) are the biggest names left fighting for the AU$1.6 million first prize. We will return with a report once Day 3 comes to an end.

Lots of big names fell on Day 2 including Richard Ashby, Sam Trickett, Eoghan O'Dea, Tony Bloom, Nate Silver, Neil Channing, Annette Obrestad, Joe Hachem, Toby Lewis, Jason Mercier, Martin Finger, Melanie Weisner and Jeff Lisandro.

now that would be really cool if we had patrick antonius and phil ivey at the main table, even more so if they actually ended up in a hu battle for the title...it's a very rare situation when two poker stars battle it out for the title in any major tourney (and by saying stars i mean really well known ones)

well thats a good prizepool ....yeah antonious vs phil ivey would be nice ...i feel antonious will make it to the final table !! he may end up winning too ... just my guess Smile with a lot of big names and very good players it would turn out to be a real good one ... and jason mercier .. he is one of the favourite too !!

Antonius and Ivey recovered a lot from the last day, and they are now moving ahead to dominate the final table. Will this be Ivey's first big victory of the year? He sure would like to have it on his curriculum!
