First out is the WPT Alpha8 Florida event that was played at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, last year. This promo make me think they not advertising poker or high stake games rather than making infomercial about all these frequent tourist destinations. Which sometimes involve a mild amount of card game.
And a handful of 'apple genius' looking dudes who've been shown of as 'alphas'.

I look forward to watching this programme and these High Roller tournaments are always great to watch. The amounts of money they play for is huge and it always attracts the best players

In essence these are like mega high stakes SNGs, except its all televised.

They way things are you have to think that the amount of the buy-in can only ever go up from now, not just these big money toruneys even things like WSOP, incrementallly not as much but you can tell promoters want bigger pots and more exotic locations and all the rest of it.
Poker is a table game, passive, so you have to glamourise it a bit and make it more attractive.
