After three starting days, Day 2 of the $2,000,000 partypoker.net WPT Montreal Main Event will start today at noon local time. The blinds will resume at 600-1,200 with a 200 ante, and the remaining field is scheduled to play nine one-hour levels.
Leading the way among the 274 remaining player from a field of 648 entries is Canadian WPT Champion's Club member Eric Afriat, who topped Day 1A's 135 player-field with 214,500. Other WPT Champions Club members with health stack to make it to Day 2 include Darren Elias, Jonathan Roy and Brian Altman.
The remaining players are fighting for a prize pool of CAD $2,199,960 ($1,641,761). The top 81 finishers will get a min-cash of $4.5k; CAD $425,980 ($317,896) + a $15,000 seat into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions is awaiting the last man standing.
