Things are going very well for America poker pro Gordon Vayo this year. In july, he secured a spot at the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event final table (guaranteed to win at least ‚$1,000,000), and this week he took down the Winstar River Poker Series Main Event in Oklahoma, USA, for a $587,120 payday!
The River Series Main Event ($2,500 buy-in) drew a field of 1,054 entries. Vayo entered the final table as the chip leader and had about half of the chips in play when he and the other four remaining players struck a deal to chop the remaining pot using the Independent Chip Model (ICM). Left to play for was "only" the bracelet, which eventually was won by Grant Hinkle.
Final table results:
1 Gordon Vayo $587,120
2 Benjamin Ector $344,826
3 Dean Bobel $225,048
4 Layne Flack $225,190
