As Hurricane Harvey's incessant rainfall lessened over the weekend in Texas, we see operations being conducted both by government personnel and its citizens, and it's great to see that some of them are from the poker community.
After nearly 12 hours of play, another day of action-packed poker concluded a little bit after 9 p.m. last night in the Imperial Ballroom of the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Although a final table of eight was set around 7 P.M., play went on for an additional 2 hours, during which two players were eliminated.
Event #49, No-Limit Hold'em $1,5000, has found its winner. Michael Linn (USA) took home the first prize of $609,493 after knocking out his final opponent Taylor Larkin (USA) in heads up. Michael was quite lucky with the cards on the final table. Of course the fact that his family and Barry Greenstein was there to support him must have helped a lot as well. A big congratulations to Michael Linn and his first ever WSOP bracelet.
