Posted on 27 August 2013 by "T".

The 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event final table chip leader J.C. Tran has signed for online poker site 888poker! Tran, a 36-year-old poker professional from Sacramento, California, has two WSOP titles, a WPT title and a World Championship of Online Poker Main Event title under his belt and is the big favourite to take down the $8.3 million first place prize money at the WSOP Main Event on November 9. Whatever happens on the final table, he is still guaranteed to get a minimum payday of $733,224! Not bad for a guy who already has $9 million in career winnings, hah?

"I am extremely excited to work with 888poker and looking forward to a great experience. I can't wait to represent 888poker at my best and help in any way possible," he said in a press release last Sunday.

"We are excited to have JC Tran join our Team 888poker, his attitude towards the game and inviting personality embodies what we look for in our Team ambassadors. This year Team 888poker will be at its strongest and should bring some exciting content and opportunities to our continuously growing poker room. Good luck to Tran and the rest of our Team," Inbal Lavi, Vice President of 888poker, stated.

The world's biggest poker site has just announced that Poker Pro Liv Boeree now is a part of its Team PokerStars Pro. Liv Boeree will now get to travel the world with the rest of the team and play in the biggest tournaments - absolutely free. She will make her Team Pro debut this week at PokerStars EPT London. Boeree has an EPT title since before, so it will be really interesting to see how she will do this time. If she doesn't cash in EPT London, I'm still sure it's only a matter of time before she makes PokerStars proud of her.

James Dempsey becomes a Red Pro at Full Tilt

James Dempsey, 27, has won over $1 million dollars online and has also been very successful live. At the 2010 WSOP he won a $1,5k PLO event and ended up in second place in the $10k Omaha Hi/Lo event. In total he cashed in 4 events at the 2010 WSOP. Quite impressing if you ask me! It's clear that players like James Dempsey do not grow on trees, and Full Tilt probably realized the same thing when they signed him a few days ago.

James Dempsey played his first tournament as Red Pro in last Sunday's Poker Million at Full Tilt. However, he didn't do all that well this time, but he still has plenty of time to show the owners of Full Tilt that he deserves to be a Red Pro.

Full Tilt signs Anette Obrestad

Posted on 04 May 2010 by "T".

Anette Obrestad, the Norwegian poker pro, has just signed a sponsorship contract with Full Tilt Poker and is now part of its team. Anette started playing poker already at the age of 15, but back then she played for fun and usually only for play money - just in order to learn the game. She probably didn't have a clue what a successful poker player she would become a few years later.

Today, she's a millionaire and one of the world's best poker players thanks to many great results online and live. Not long ago Anette turned 21-years-old, so this year she can finally take part in the WSOP. It will be very interesting to see how she does there! I have a feeling that she will do very well!
