It's nothing new that Gus Hansen, of Denmark, has lost millions of dollars at Full Tilt Poker. Many of his fans hoped and prayed that things would change once the site reopened for business last year and signed him to its The Professionals, but the bitter truth is that he has continued to lose huge amounts month after month.
It wasn't until 2 days ago that the The Great Dane finally booked a nice win at the site. He started off the day by winning $61k against KPR16 at the FLO8 tables, then he won another $182k in the early afternoon playing 2-7 triple draw with Isildur1 and PostFlopAction.
The big winning streak took off later in the afternoon when Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond, samrostan, SallyWoo, and cottonseed1 joined the action. Gus crushed everyone who got in his way and passed the half a million profit mark in no-time.
He finished the 19-hour session by taking on, once again, KPR16 at the FLO8 heads up tables. KPR16 didn't stand a chance this time and left the tables in frustration after losing a massive $722,000. In total, Gus won an increadible $1,570,224 on Tuesday - almost $1.3 million more than the second biggest winner: cottonseed1.
Despite the big win, Gus Hansen has lost $1,421,942 (67,903 hands) this year at Full Tilt Poker. In total, he has lost $7,833,215 (1,267,871 hands) according to highstakesdb.
