On May 16th we wrote about Gus "The Great Dane" Hansen's incredible $1.57 million win in less than 24 hours. Hansen has been very active at Full Tilt's nosebleed tables since then but not managed to book a nice win until last Monday. He started the day by playing heads-up against Alex "Alexonmoon" Luneau at the $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw Tables. The match lasted for four hours and Hansen dominated from start to finish and added $374k to his bankroll.
Hansen continued his winning streak at the $2k/$4k FLO8 tables by wining $185k against Patrik Antonius, Kyle "KPR16" Ray and "samrostan". Then, a little later in the evening, he won another $250k in two 2-7 Triple Draw ring games. Most of those winnings came from Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond and "Seb86". In total, Gus Hansen won $811,618 on Monday - about $600k more than the second biggest winner of the day: Denoking.
Despite winning $1.57 million earlier this month and $811k on Monday, he's still down $2.1 million this year or $8.5 million since highstakesdb started tracking online results. He definitely needs to make some big changes in his game if he wants to become a successful winning player online.
