$270k Bad Beat Jackpot Hits in Ohio!

Tags: bad beat jackpot, Gary Costa, Horseshoe Cincinnati, Michael Humphreys, Ohio.
Posted on 13 February 2014 by "T".

A massive $270,00 Bad Beat Jackpot was awarded on Tuesday (February 11th) at Horseshoe Cincinnati's World Series of Poker room in Cincinnati, Ohio. Gary Costa (right side of the dealer in the picture) had his four of a kind 7's beaten by Michael Humphreys's (left side of the dealer) jack-high straight flush.

Costa probably didn't mind losing the hand as he received the largest chunk of the jackpot ($108,000)! Humphreys received $54,000 for winning the hand and the remaining six players (behind dealer in picture) at the table won $18,000 each.

"This was an incredibly exciting day for the local poker players. Paying out the largest Bad Beat ever in the Cincinnati area, it's a rare occasion that players buying into a game for $100/$200 get to walk away $100,000 richer," said the manager of the poker room in a press release.

Wow really doubletop777? I still think of it as a lottery and i don't fancy me be on the wrong side of variance. You got to be really lucky to be dealt that kind of bad beat.

Cheers hope you did something useful with the money. Big Smile Also very happy for people winning at least not the hand!

Variance or not, what kind of mitt joint of a card cave deal out jack high straight flush vs. 7777 poker. Online sites dealing more and more hands than brick and mortar casinos, yet this kind of things so rare. It look like they forget to shuffle properly the deck. Even so, before every card dealt on flop they supposed to take one out to prove they dont cheat with shuffle. This is nuts.
Variance, crazy variance, this is nuts.

You gotta love all the poker casinos and all poker sites that offer this kind of bad beat jackpots.

I guess the only site that will never offer it will be stars since they would probably go broke after couple of tousands of hands
