Both starting days at the 2014 World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star have come to a close and, believe it or not, a new record has been set! A total of 713 players bought into tournament (crushing last year's record of 643 players), making it the largest Bay 101 Shooting Star in WPT History!
Day 3 of the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star saw a field of 44 players play down to a final table of 6. Paul Volpe finished second in the WPT L.A. Poker Classic main event last week and now has another chance to lay hands on his first WPT title.
After 3 days of play (4 if you include both Day 1a and b), the World Poker Tour's Bay 101 Shooting Star main event is down to a final table. Erik Cajelais, from Canada, will sit down at the final table today with a 3,6 million stack - about 1,3 million more than Ubaid Habib in second place.
This weekend the final table of the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star tournament was played. On the final table were 6 players, Chau Vu, Thao Le, Tony Behari, Chris Moore, Kathy Liebert and Steve Brecher. Steve Brecher and Tony Behari, both with over 2 million chips each were in the lead. The most notable of the 6 players was Kathy Liebert who played her 6th final table in WPT.
