Members of Branschföreningen för Onlinespel (BOS), the Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling, have sent an open letter to the country's Minister of Finance Ardalan Shekarabi, urging the easing of new temporary restrictions imposed on the gambling market.
The temporary online casino restrictions, which were implemented starting June 1st, stating that players will be subjected to deposit limits and gaming operators will have less room for maneuver when it comes to offering online bonuses.
Net Entertainment (NetEnt) has agreed to a deal to purchase online casino software provider Red Tiger Gaming for an initial amount of £220m (€245.3m/$271.4m), with a possible additional pay of up to £23m in 2022.
NetEnt is set to acquire fast-growing online slot games supplier Red Tiger Gaming through an all-cash transaction, which will be finalized imminently and is in line with the vision of the casino content developer "to create the future of gaming".
A technical issue at Swedish state-owned casinos, Casino Cosmopol, led to several slot machines paying out way too much winnings than they should have. Aftonbladet.se, Sweden's biggest news site, reports that one player won more than 600,000 SEK (approx. 62,000 EURO) within a month.
