I TESTIFY that while a Germany victory over Potugal was to be expected, the way the Germans won must be deeply hurting to a pretty poor Portugal team who really looked like they had only one player, and he couldn't get into the game in any event! The Portugese response will be interesting to see.

I testify that sometimes a man just needs to eat a nice turkey sandwich. Large chunks of turkey with mustard and lettice. two slices of home made bread on the side is great too. Dressing on the side is also great. I am cooking a 10 lb turkey in the oven

I TESTIFY that I o not believe that I have ever felt this emotionless about the failure of the English football team to succeed. I don't suppose I ever expected them too, but deep down inside there was this little glimmer of hope that is trying to poke its way brought as disappointment, but the apathy about it all is still working quite well, mainly based on the remote outside chance that we can still qualify for the next round. See how I feel by this time tomorrow.

Testify... Latin is a dead language... As for defining our current usage of particular words (which you randomly have chosen) makes no sense to me. Furthermore, the etymology of those words are for the most part, as dead as Latin. Throughout time languages, whether borrowed or not, have either redefined those words or have attached connotations different from the past. Language mutates. Mutate not evolve... since it was never perfect to begin with, nor will it ever be...
