The 2019 European Poker Tour Sochi 191,800 Russian Ruble (or $2,930) buy-in NLHE Main Event has been won by Uri Gilboa, after outlasting a player field of 758 entries.
Thanks to this win, the 61-year-old became the first-ever EPT champion from his home country Israel, taking home $424,997 USD with him. At Casino Sochi where the event was held, he is considered to be the oldest EPT champion ever.

Police have identified a 49-year-old man who was shot and killed by police during a gunfight as he attempted to escape a Friday night heist at the Bellagio poker room last week. The police now believe that this is the same suspect who robbed the same venue back in 2017.
Michael Charles Cohen, age 49, resident of Las Vegas, has been linked to a 2017 robbery of the Bellagio poker cage, according to investigators.

The 2019 Triton Poker Series in Jeju, South Korea was deemed a smashing success that the participating players have made a decision to create a last minute event to add to the schedule.
Those who already had flights scheduled on time had to cancel and find new hotel accommodations just so they can join in on the action. In the end, there were 23 players who built a prize pool worth HKD 34,780,000 (USD 4,430,604).

The Triton Poker Series Jeju Main Event has been won by Timothy Adams after he outlasted a player field of 38, winning the prize amount considered to be currently his biggest score ever in poker.
Before this tournament, the Canadian poker pro hasn't yet made a signature win in a six-figure buy-in event. This all changed when he defeated Bryn Kenney in heads-up play to win the HK$2 Million (US$254,779) buy-in Triton Poker Jeju NLHE Main Event (Event #6), taking home the title and the cash prize worth HK$27,760,500 (US$3.54 million).
