94 players showed up for Day 1A of partypoker World Poker Tour UK Main Event (played at Dusk Till Dawn Casino and Poker Lenton, Nottingham) and Spain's Adrian Mateos (best known for winning the 2014 WSOPE Main Event for €1 million) bagged up the biggest stack (181,200) amongst the 40 players who made it through the day. Mateos will be joined by the likes of Martin Retteinmaier (63,600) and WPT's very own Mike Sexton (61,800) when Day 2 kicks off tomorrow. 

Day 1B kicks off at 1pm local time today and players that busted on Day 1A (just to mention a few notables: Sam Trickett, Jack Salter and WPT Champions Club members Dominik Nitsche and Michael Mizrachi) will be able to re-enter today. After two runner-up finishes in World Poker Tour Main Events this year (WPT Fallsview Poker Classic and Bay 101 Shooting Star), Dylan Wilerson finally emerged victorious last weekend in the 2014 WPT Emerors Palace Poker Classic Main Event ($3,500 buy-in No-Limit, Hold'em]. In total, the U.S. pro bested a field of 166 entrants to lay hands on the title and the $147,509 first-place prize in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event has been narrowed down from nine to three players after the first day of the November Nine final table (the first day lasted for 244 hands). Dutchman Jorryt Van Hoof has the chip lead with 89.625 million in chips, Martin Jacobson of Sweden sits in second with 64.75 million, and Felix Stephensen from Norway is the shortest stack with 46.1 million.

After three years of deliberation, World Poker Tour Royal Flush Girl and Chamoru descendant Brittany Bell finally decided to enter the 2014 Miss Universe Guam pageant on Tuesday night in the northwest district it of Tumon.

When the voting procedure was over and done with, Bell, 26, had defeated 7 opponents and claimed the Miss Universe Guam title. She will be representing Guam in the 63rd-annual Miss Universe pageant on January 25, 2015 in Miami, Florida.
