
The organizers of the World Series of Poker has finally succumbed to the inevitable, postponing this year's largest, richest and most prestigious poker event in the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Monday, April 20, WSOP organizers announced that the 51st edition of the event originally scheduled to kick off on Tuesday, May 26 from the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is officially being postponed as a result of the public health emergency involving the novel coronavirus. They are aiming to reschedule in autumn, with exact dates and events yet to be released.
