When the poker community learned that WPT commentator and Poker Hall of Famer Mike Sexton passed away in September, many were shocked and saddened by the unfortunate news.

To honor him, his family then encouraged people to make memorial donations to his charitable group Poker Gives. To keep carrying on with that goodwill, an auction as a tribute for Mike Sexton will be set up, starting Sunday midnight and will run for a good two weeks.

The items up for auction, provided by his family, would be 80 various memorabilia once owned by Sexton, collected from all the years of his exciting life.

partypoker will be hosting the UK NHS Charity Tournament, with a minimum of 50% of the prize pool being matched by partypoker and donated to the NHS Charities Together, the umbrella organisation which represents over 140 NHS charities. Collectively, these charities contribute £1 million a day to support the work of our NHS.

Jeopardy! Champion James Holzhauer has made his WSOP debut this Monday in Las Vegas.

A pro sports gambler for over a decade, Holzhauer played in two events at the Rio Convention Center:
Event #56: $1,500 No-Limit-Hold'em Super Turbo Bounty
Event #57: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em (with Mike Sexton as his partner)

Both events were scheduled on June 24, Monday.

Holzhauer said, "I decided to enter because [Poker Hall of Famer] Mike Sexton contacted me and offered to sponsor my buy-ins. I don't have any plans to enter another WSOP event beyond those two. I played online poker semi-professionally in the early 2000s, but I don't intend to make a career of it now, as I'm sure I wouldn't be good enough at it to justify forgoing other opportunities."
