It took four levels of play for 106 players to become 45 players at the third day of the EPT London Main Event. None of the survivors were former main event winners or Team PokerStars Pros, but there are quite a few interesting names left in the mix - including Day 2 chip leader Tudor Purice (825k), EPT London Super High Roller finalist Timothy Adams (271k), poker legend David "Devilfish" Ulliot (250k) and Viktor Blom's big brother Sebastian Blom (216k).
The remaining 45 players are guaranteed a minimum payday of £11,425 with the chance of going all the way to the title and laying hands on the first prize of £560,980! The current chip leader is Martin Kozlov with 1,351,000. Besides Kozlov, only another two players (Ludovic Geilich and David Yan) will bring over a million chips into Day 4.

Recently Martin Finger, 21, from Germany won the EPT Prague main event and received a huge prize of 720k euro. Finger became the third German poker player ever to win an EPT main event and received lots of positive feedback in the media.
However, it didn't take long before his big win became overshadowed by other headlines. During EPT London, according to a poker news site, Finger went out to party after the tournament, got drunk and behaved aggressively. After Finger left the exclusive club Kensington Roof Garden in central London, he broke into a restaurant to get himself some food. But the heavy night came to an end quickly as the British police arrived at the scene and arrested him. It remains unclear what charges Martin Finger will face. If he gets away with paying some fines, the EPT Prague winnings might come in handy.

David Vamplew, 23, made it to the final table 3rd in chips, but he was almost half a stack behind Kyle Bowker and poker legend John Juanda. These 3 remained in the top of the field until they were the last men standing. Kyle Bowker was first out and then it was Juanda and Vamplew who played heads-up for the EPT title. The heads-up was quite even at first, Juanda with a slight advantage though. After sometime, 2 big pots ended up on Juanda's side of the table and suddenly he had a 4-1 chip advantage. At this point, everything pointed Juanda's way and he was very close of winning his first EPT title.
Vamplew, however, had no plans whatsoever to give up and now he switched gears and started playing fantastic poker. After an amazing comeback, and with a bit of help from the poker gods, Vamplew took home the tournament and the first place prize of £900,000.

Today it's finally time for the EPT London Main Event Final Table. Eight of 848 players have made it this far and they will now fight for a big piece of the huge prize pool, and of course the EPT title. Chip leader is Kyle Bowker (USA), closely followed by no one else than John Juanda (USA) who has won millions of dollars, played lots of final tables and also won 4 WSOP Bracelets. Both Bowker and Juanda have accumulated huge stacks and if nothing out of the ordinary happens on the final table today, then it's probably one of them who will take home the tournament and the first prize of £556k!
Here are the 8 finalists:
Kyle Bowker (USA) 7,165,000 John Juanda (USA) 7,075,000 David Vamplew (UK) 3,670,000 Artur Wasek (Poland) 2,250,000 Tom Marchese (USA) 1,535,000 Kayvan Payman (Canada) 1,29,5000 Per Ummer (Cyprus) 1,245,000 Fernando Brito (Portugal) 1,100,000

The American, Aaron Gustavson, won his seat to EPT London through an online satellite at PokerStars. But well in the Main Event he showed that he's not only a great online poker player, but also great at playing poker live. He had twice as much chips as Peter Eastgate (2nd place) and Martin Gudvangen (3rd place) as the Main Event Final Table of EPT London started, and this big lead he had no plans to let go off.
It came to be Aaron Gustavson and Peter Eastgate who stayed in the lead all the way to heads-up. At this moment, Aaron, had twice as much chips as Eastgate. But as we all know, Peter Eastgate, has a lot of experience when it comes to televised final tables when the pressure is on top. However, Aaron, managed to remain calm, and it took him no time to knock out his final opponent (Peter Eastgate).

The Main Event of EPT London has been one of the most interesting and exciting tournaments for a quite some time. Especially for those who have followed the World Champion and PokerStars Pro Peter Eastgate and his amazing comeback in the tournament.
Peter Eastgate had to fight really, really hard to make it to Day 3 of the tournament. But during Day 3 he showed everyone that it takes more than luck to become the World Champion as he played fantastic poker throughout the day. Thanks to his great play in Day 3 he had now built up a quite big stack and was on 10th place out of 24 remaining players.
