The $10,000 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball Championship always attract a star-filled field of poker players. But despite the tough competition the same player has emerged victorious in this event two years in a row.
In 2014, Tuan Le bested 120 entries to win $355,324. Yesterday, he received $322,756 in prize money for overcoming a field of 109 players over three days of play. According to WSOP.com, he's the first player to repeat as champion in the same WSOP bracelet event since 2009.

Day 3 is in the books. Ray Henson, who finished 12th in the 2007 WSOP Main Event, will lead the remaining 39 players of 22,374 entries into Day 4, which likely will be the final day of play.

The Colossus (Event #5: THE COLOSSUS $565 No-Limit Hold'em) record field of 22,374 entries has been narrowed down to 506 players after several starting days and Day 2.

On Saturday, Michael Wang became the first bracelet winner of an even open to all players of the 2015 WSOP, collecting $466,120 in prize money. The 26-year-old poker pro from Livingston, New Jersey bested a star-filled field of 422 entries over three days of play to win his first gold bracelet.
There are now only 20 players left in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event after two days of intensive play. Carl Westcott, a recipient of the Horatio Alger Award in 2003, will lead the remaining players into Day 3 with 1,066,000 in chips.
For almost 20 years the World Series of Poker has honoured casino employees with their own gold bracelet event. This year is no different. A big congratulations to Brandon Barnette who just became the first bracelet winner of the 2015 WSOP after outlasting a field of 688 players over two days in the $565 Casino Employees No-Limit Hold'em event!
A nine-year-old record was broken on May 27th as 8,926 players had already signed up for the Colossus event. (153 more than when Jamie Gold won the Main Event back in 2006). Although history was made on Wednesday, WSOP is expecting another 11,000 + players to enter the $565 buy-in tournament.
The Colossus is a brand-new tournament that debuts today. The number of entrants mentioned above (8,926) means that the $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool already has been boosted with more prize money. Exciting to say the least!

Poker King Club, the home of some of the world's biggest cash games, was relocated from StarWorld Casino to The Venetian Macau in September last year. Due to refurbishment works being carried out since the re-location, the poker club used a temporary space until the official re-opening last Friday.

I hate inefficient systems. In my job in education I see a lot of these on a daily basis. Double marking, needless costs and time wasting tests all lead to extra work, extra cost and little benefit and it drives me mad. I see it on a day to day basis in my non-work life too.
