Fabrid Yachou outlasted a field of 341 entrants over 6 days of play to claim the World Poker Tour Amsterdam Main Event title and $239,559! According to WPT reporters, the Moroccan born cafeteria owner learned the game playing cash games with his friends. He doesn't visit casinos that often and only decided to play this event (his first poker tournament) to experience something different and compete against poker's elite.

Day 1A chip leader Fredrik Andersson is once again back at top of the chip counts after a successful run on Day 3. The Swede bagged up 1.4 million chips at the end of Day 3 - almost 400k more that his closest opponents (the only other players with seven figure sums) Day 2 chip leader Joep van den Bijgaart in second place and Sorel Mizzi in third place.

The second starting day of the first-ever World Poker Tour Amsterdam Main Event drew a field of 194 entries to the Holland Casino in Amsterdam, Holland. In total, 99 players made it through to Day 2 from Day 1B, with Italian pro Giacomo Fundaro bagging up the overall chip lead.

Between April 24 and May 8, four of poker's best high-stakes heads-up players took on poker bot Claudico (a computer program created by a team at Carnegie Mellon University) in 80,000 hands of heads-up no-limit Texas Hold'em (play money). The rules were very simple: whoever was up after 80k hands would be considered the winner.

At the end of it all, on Friday night, it was 21-year-old Charlie Carrel who stood tall as the winner after overcoming an extremely tough final table (Steve O'Dwyer and Max Altergott, Dan Smith etc.).

12 players remain out of the original starting field of 215 entries, and it is Russian businessman Andrey Andreev who is the chip leader with 2,270,000.
Big names still in the competition include 2014 WSOP Main Event winner Martin Jacobson, Max Altergott, Dominik Nitsche, Steve O'Dwyer and, not to forget, Dan Smith who played most of yesterday with food poisoning. After reading on PokerStar Blog how ill he was, one can only applaud him for making it this far.

15 of 34 players made it through Day 4, moving one step closer to the final table. Team PokerStars Johnny Lodden started the day with 728k and finished with 2,293,000, which means that he's the chip leader heading to Day 5. The Norwegian finished third in this event two seasons ago for €467,000, he now sits in a great position to top that result.

Sheraz Nasir was crowned the first WPT Champion of Season XIV last night. Nasir, who brought the second biggest stack to the final table, defeated Lu Zhang (had the chance of becoming the first-ever female winner in an open WPT event) heads-up to lay hands on the title, CAD $255,408 in prize money, a seat into the WPT Championship, a WPT Champions trophy and a Playground Poker Club Champions Belt.

It only took one day of play to determine a winner of the €50,000 Super High Roller at the 2015 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo EPT Grand Final.
The tournament kicked off at 12:30 pm local time on Sunday, and the final hand was dealt just before 3:30 am on Monday morning. A total of 66 entries created a prize pool €3.2 million, of which Mustapha Kanit received €936,500!

A big congratulations to Erik Seidel, the winner of the 2015 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller.
The tournament drew 71 entries and Seidel received €2,015,000 (the single biggest cash of his 27-year poker career) for being the last man standing. He's now third on poker's all-time money list - ahead of both Phil Ivey and Daniel Colman.
