Yuguang Li, a 36 year old businessman, had a fantastic run at the poker tables in Macau last Friday. Li started by winning the MPC22 Red Dragon Main Event which had gathered a field of 987 players. The first place gave him some $238,000 USD but instead of celbrating the win, Li jumped straight in to the poker action in the MPC22 HK$80,000 High Roller event which proved to be the right thing to do since he managed to win this one too and bag another $219,000 USD.

On Monday, a 32-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing $420,000 in casino chips from poker pro Matt Kirk's Los Angeles apartment in January, 2015. Dustin Campbell was arrested at his home in Illinois with $40,000 in cash and $20,000 in casino chips on him.

The second day of the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star $7,500 Main Event has come to an end. 155 players of 389 that entered on Tuesday will return for Day 2 today. 2014 WSOP ladies event champion Haixia Zhang bagged up the largest stack of the second day (281,000 chips), which means that she will enter Day 2 with the second largest stack after Day 1 A's James Carroll with 297,600.

On Thursday, a player on the 2003 college football national champion LSU Tigers received a 50-year prison sentence for attempted murder at a Louisiana casino in 2011. Demetri Robinson, 32, pleaded guilty to three count of attempted second degree murder on Aug. 18, 2014, for shooting at three employees of the Cajun Circus Casino Sept. 18, 2011. Robinson shot a cashier and then fired shots at two other employees after being asked to leave the casino.
