On Monday, Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier, 2010 WSOP Main Event winner Jonathan Duhamel, Brian Hastings (best known for winning $4.18 million against Viktor "Isildur1" Blom in single HU cash game session on FTP back in 2009) and another 12 players participated in the $2,200 Eight Game Mix event (single re-entry) at the 2015 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.

Some very sad news this morning. British poker legend Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott passed away on Monday, April 6. According to an announcement by his son on Twitter, Dave Ulliott, who has been fighting terminal bowel and liver cancer since earlier this year, died peacefully surrounded by his loves ones. Ulliot, who has $6.2 million in live tournament earnings (the second biggest winner of all time in the UK), leaves behind his wife and eight children.

Nevada Poker Revenue was $8.53 million in the month of February. According to Card Player magazine, the revenue in February 2014 was $9.27 million, which equals a 8 percent drop this February compared to last year.

Valentin Messina (7,805,000) and Jean Montury (7,185,000), both from France, were at the top of the chip counts when the first ever EPT Malta Main Event final table kicked off on Saturday.

The French duo used their big stacks well and made it to heads up after several hours of play. After coming back from a dinner break, they quickly agreed on a deal: Messina was guaranteed €615,000 while Montury secured €587,000, and there was still €100,000 left to play for.

Ten levels were completed on the second day of the €10k High Roller, and it was American poker pro Nick Petrangelo (1.1 million USD in live tournament earnings) who bagged up the chip lead when the day came to an end. Petrangelo will bring 1.66 million chips to the final day and is up against another 17 players for the title, the €597,000 first-place prize and a luxurious SLYDE watch.

Dominik Panka, best known for winning the 2014 PCA Main Event for $1.4 million, is the biggest name among the finalists of the first ever EPT Malta Main Event. The Polish poker pro was all in at least three time during Day 5, and he rived an ace in one of them to beat the pocket kings of Fedor Holz, who was the chip leader at one point but finished in 9th place (offical final table bubble).

The first day of the EPT Malta €10,300 High Roller drew a massive field of 228 unique players who made a total of 61 re-entries. This means that 289 entries have been made so far, plus registration is open till 11:45 a.m. today. The current prize pool is over €2.8 million - just €1.5 million less than the Main Event (895 entries).
