Masahiro Tanaka
There was disappointment in Masahiro Tanaka's eyes on Wednesday morning, according to manager Joe Girardi, one day after the Yankees right-hander learned that he will miss at least a month with a strained right forearm and tendinitis in his right wrist.
For the moment, the Yankees believe that Tanaka's current injury does not represent a precursor to Tommy John surgery, but they recognize that possibility. Tanaka will refrain from throwing for seven to 10 days and is not expected to travel with the team.

Yu Darvish
Rangers ace Yu Darvish had the brace on his right arm taken off Friday and is progressing through his rehab program, completing the range-of-motion-exercises portion Saturday and beginning on exercises for his shoulder and forearm.
Darvish is being cautious in his recovery, careful not to push himself too far. Darvish is unsure when he will start throwing again, reiterating his intentions to be cautious throughout his recovery while maintaining his sense of humor.

Lyons makes spot start for Cards vs. Hendricks, Cubs
By Carrie Muskat / MLB.com | May 5, 2015

• Yadier Molina is expected back in the lineup for St. Louis on Tuesday after being given the day off in the series opener. Molina, who is 3-for-27 since missing two games with right knee soreness, was rested after catching every inning of three straight extra-inning games.
• Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday will enter Tuesday's game having reached base safely in all 24 games he's played this season. His on-base streak is currently the longest in the Majors.
• Cubs catcher Miguel Montero is riding a six-game hitting streak. Even though he'd rather play every day, he's benefited from the extra rest afforded him because the Cubs are carrying three catchers on the roster.

Greinke wins 10th straight decision
By Ken Gurnick and Adam McCalvy / MLB.com

MILWAUKEE -- Zack Greinke remained undefeated since August and the Dodgers hit three home runs to power past the Brewers, 8-2, at Miller Park on Tuesday.
Justin Turner hit a go-ahead, three-run home run in the sixth inning and Jimmy Rollins and Adrian Gonzalez added two-run shots in the seventh to back Greinke, who hasn't lost a decision since these Brewers beat him last Aug. 9. He improved to 10-0 with a 1.99 ERA in 14 starts since that defeat by holding his former team to one unearned run on two hits over 7 2/3 innings.
