It only took 3 days (3 sessions of $200/$400 NLH) for the $1,000,000 SuperStar Showdown to be concluded as Viktor "Isildur1" Blom won the remaining $218k from Isaac Haxton last night. This means that Viktor "Isildur1" Blom has won half a million dollars from Haxton since Saturday and that he's up about $450k against Haxton in the 3 SuperStar Showdown matches they have played.

After that the SuperStar Showdown had come to an end, Blom decided to play some $100/$200 PLO against some regulars on PokerStars' nosebleed tables. Things, however, didn't go as planned for the young Swede and he decided to stop playing when he had lost $142k, which still left him with a $76,000 profit for the day and a 3rd place on the daily winners list. 

The $1,000,000 SuperStar Showdown between Viktor "Isildur1" Blom and Isaac "Philivey2694" Haxton kicked off on Saturday. Even though Haxton took the command straight away and was up about 80k after only 500 hands had been played, it was Viktor Blom who dominated the heads-up and finished the day with an impressive $198k profit. Yesterday, after both players had got some well-needed rest, they started playing again. Blom had a really good start as he was up about $140k in the first 500 hands.

A special edition of PokerStars SuperStar Showdown will start this weekend and it's time to get really excited as $1,000,000 is at stake! According to PokerStars, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom and Isaac Haxton, who recently played a SuperStar Showdown, have agreed to sit down with $500,000 each on $200/$400 No Limit Hold'em tables and play 4 hours a day until one of them has it all!

Sounds pretty amazing, hah? It will amazing and very, very, very exciting as so much money is up for grabs and neither of them are afraid of pushing all their chips towards the centre of the table when needed. Haxton is the only one to beat Viktor Blom in the SuperStar Challenge twice and get away with a profit, so it will be very interesting to see what Blom's strategy will be this time!

After losing the postponed match against Isaac Haxton last wednesday, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom played the second SuperStar Showdown of the year against the British poker pro Alexander "Kanu7" Millar yesterday. Viktor Blom, who lost about $200k to Millar during last week, took an early lead against Millar and was up about $80k after 200 hands had been played.

In case you missed it: Last Sunday the first SuperStar Showdown of 2012 kicked off and Viktor "Isildur1" Blom and Isaac Haxton sat down at four $100/$200 NLH tables with $300,000 each. Isildur1 dominated the match and after 692 hands, when Haxton had reconnected for the 4th time due to unstable Internet connection, Viktor Blom was in the lead with $100,000 and they decided to continue the match another day.

The match resumed yesterday and Isildur1 increased his lead to about $130k over the first hundred hands. But Haxton kept a cool head and managed to get back into the game, and It didn't take long Haxton had gone from -$130k to -$70. The young Swede was folding several hands at this points, which made many of the spectators believe that he was afraid of losing the lead and therefore waited for "monster hands".

Blom, who lost the previous SuperStar Showdown against Haxton, took the lead straight away and was up $70k after about 500 hands of play.

Yesterday was the quietest day on PokerStars high stakes tables this week. In fact, there were only two short sessions at the $100/$200 PLO tables and those were heads-up matches between Radi "refealamit" Amit and "RaiseOnce" (rumored to be Phil Ivey) and between "Fake Love 888" and Ilari Sahamies.

The biggest pot of the day was a pot when RaiseOnce got his money in with nuts for a $49k pot. The biggest winner, however, ended up being Rui "PepperonifF" Cao (picture) who won $108k playing at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO tables.

Last Sunday, another SuperStar Showdown was played at PokerStars. This time Viktor "Isildur1" Blom took on Terje "Terken89" Augdal from Norway, and it ended up being one of the most action-filled SuperStar Shodown matches so far. Already in the first hand both players went all-in - Blom with TT and Augdal with AK. Two aces fell on the board and Augdal took a $10,000 lead. However, about 100 hands later, Blom was suddenly in the lead with about $7,000. And after 250 hands had been played, his lead had increased with another $10,000, and 50 hands later another $5000.

Last Sunday Viktor "Isildur1" Blom took on the second online qualifier in a special 1/10-sized edition of the SuperStar Showdown. This time it was a player with the alias "Mastermixus" who had qualified through satellites and received a $15,000 bankroll to play 2,500 hands of $5/$10 no-limit hold'em against Isildur1. 

After 2500 hands had been played, Isildur1 was the winner with a profit of $1279. His opponent, "Mastermixus", had $13.721 left and got to keep all of it. He must have been very satisfied with the money and to have played so well against one of the world's best NLH heads-up players.

Yesterday the first game of two was played between the American high stakes regular Scott "urnotindangr" Palmer and PokerStars own Viktor "Isildur1" Blom. It was a swingy 2,500-hand game that saw multiple two-outers, aces cracked, and a $59,000 pot. Blom picked up most of the big pots, however, Palmer picked up many mid-sized pots and gave Blom a very tough match. When 2,500 hands had been played, and after the official chip count was announced, it was Scott "urnotindangr" Palmer who had won with a $5,425 profit.

Daniel 'jungleman12' Cates now speaks out about the defeat of Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom in the third edition of the heads-up challenge SuperStar Showdown.

When Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom on sunday beat Eugene Katchalov in SuperStar Showdown IV, he of course changed the overall statistics for the challenge, to 3-1 in the Swede's favor.

It may be difficult to see who will step up and end his good run, where he now has three wins in a row. About a week ago, the world's largest poker site, PokerStars, announced that the mystery swede Isildur1 had joined its Team PokerStars Pro. PokerStars also announced that there would be a challenge called SuperStars Showdown in which any player could play against Isildur1. It didn't take long before someone accepted the challenge.

The player who will take on Isildur1 in the SuperStars Showdown is no one else than Isaac "philivey2694" Haxton. The list of Haxton's success online and live can be made long. For example, he was the runner-up in PokerStars Caribbean Adventure ($861,789) back in 2007, he has reached a few final tables at the WSOP and also been successful at PokerStars and Full Tilt's nosebleed tables.
