The Danish world champion Peter Eastgate is participating in the Party Poker Premier League. He lost his first heat where he was playing against some of the biggest names in poker. This tournament has a lot of stars playing and you will see players as Annette Obrestad, Devilfish, Andy Black and Roland de Wolfe. The reason why the tournament hasn't been played for 2 years in Deauville is that the French legislation hasn't been so positive to the organization behind the tournament. Now, however the attitude has changed from the French legislation and the tournament is back for the first time since 2006.

The Main Event has a buy-in of $5300 and will be played between 20th-24th January 2009. And since they expect a lot of players this year the maximum participants is set to 700. The tournament will be the third largest in EPT season 5 and hopefully is here to stay.
