It took almost 6 hours of play before Day 5 came to an end. Chip leader when the day started was the last standing women, Ana Marquez, with 3.67 million chips. But unfortunately she was not one of the 8 players who made it to the final table. The player field is now down to 22 in the 2011 PCA Main Event in Bahamas. Leading the field is a woman, the only one left in the tournament. Ana Marquez played fantastic poker during Day 4 and one can't saying anything else than it's a well deserved lead! So what happened to Chris Oliver who was in the lead with 3.67 million when Day 4 started? Well, not much to be honest. Oliver's stack remained almost the same all Day 4 and he ended the day with 3.27 million chips. However, Max Lehmanski, Oliver's closes competitor when Day 4 started, was sent off the rail during the day.

A few notable players that still have the chance to reach the final table and battle for the first prize of 2.3 million dollars are Team PokerStars Pro Chris Moneymaker, Mike Sowers, Eric Froehlich, Eddy Sabsat and Sam Stein.

The 2011 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event is getting closer and closer to its final table. 3 days of poker have been played so far, and now we are are waiting for Day 4 to start. 48 players will return today and continue the fight towards the final table - in order to get a big share from the huge prize pool.

Chip leader of the tournament is Chris Oliver with 3.6 million chips. Other players with healthy stacks that will join him at the poker tables today are, for example, the 2003 WSOP Champ Chris Moneymaker (1.6m), Max Lehmanski (2.3m), Mike Sowers (1.36m), and Sam Stein (970,000).

The 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is now down to a 173-player field and we're now waiting for the 3rd day to start. Chip leader is Adam Geyer with 909,000. Folling him are Ilan Rouah with 795,000 and Chris Oliver with 792,500. Unfortunately many of PokerStars biggest names fell out of the field during 2 of the tournament, Liv Boeree, Joe Cada, Dario Minieri, Viktor Blom etc.

Day 1b of PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is now in the books. Not less than 913 players signed up for Day 1b and in total the tournament has attracted 1560 players. This means that a prize pool of $15,132,000 and a first prize of $2.3 million is up for grabs. The most interesting player who made it to day Day 2 from Day 1b is Viktor "Isildur1" Blom from Sweden. Blom will bring a 141k stack with him to Day 2 of the tournament and will do everything in his power to reach the final table - just like the other 644 remaining players.

Chip leader of the tournament is no one else than Pieter de Korver with 245,300 chips, but he can't sit back and relax yet as there are plenty of good players, Chris MoneyMaker etc, not far behind in chips. Day 2 will be a very thrilling day to follow since there are so many good players left. Personally, I will keep an eye on Viktor "Isildur1" Blom.

On January 8, the identity of the mystery swede Isildur1 was finally revealed - something the whole poker world been waiting for for a very long time (second half of 2009 - when he showed up at the nosebleed tables at Full Tilt). In an interview with PokerStars at the PCA, Viktor Blom, 20, admitted that he's the man who has won and lost millions of dollars online under the alias Isildur1. Of course this just confirms what many have been saying for a very long time, but at least now everyone knows for sure. This also puts an end to further speculations who Isildur1 might be (Tony G, Robert Flink etc).

Yesterday, the first day of PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Super High Roller was played. The field consisted of 38 world class poker players who could afford the buy-in of $100,000. At the end of the day 23 players remained and the chip leader was Tobias Renkeimer, closely followed by Daniel Negreanu.

Unfortunately Viktor Blom, who many believe is the mystery swede Isildur1, was knocked out by the Indian poker pro Vivek Rajkumar at the early stages of the tournament. Many have been waiting for the PCA Super High Roller tournament to see whether or not Viktor Blom would wear the PokerStars tag, but that was not the case.

During new year's eve a man walked into the Star City Casino in Sydney, Australia. While he was playing poker, he ordered beer after beer. 17 hours later, one of casino employees realized that they had served 1 person 42 beers. The man, who had drank 42 beers, couldn't walk on his own, so the casino personnel had to help him out of the casino.

The casino has now received a fine of 10,000 AUD because they let an obviously drunk person play poker. The bartender in charge that night was fired shortly after - along with 2 other casino employees. Apart from firing 3 employees, the Star City Casino has contacted the authorities and newspapers and told them that the man lured its employees with his poker skills. 

Around 31 players have taken their seats in the center of the cavernous ballroom, all of them are now waiting for the tournament director, Mike Ward, to say the famous words in poker - "Shuffle up and deal".

The field includes some really interesting names - Jonathan Duhamel, Jason Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari - just to mention a few of them.
All players have 250,000 chips and the first level's blinds are 500 / 1000 with a 100 ante.

Another session, as a part of the durrrr challenge, between Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Daniel "Jungleman12" Cates was played the other day at Full Tilt. The session (15) lasted for about 6 hours and they manage to play 2900 hands, which means that more than 17,000 of 50,000 hands have been played.

Anyhow, it was Daniel Cates, the biggest winner online last year, who dominated this session and took $318,000 from Tom Dwan. This means that Daniel Cates increased his lead to $819,213.

It's not only at Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars one can find interesting high stakes games going. At the end of 2010, a player called nveragan won €354,000 from his opponent luckexpre on the Entraction Network (KickOffPoker, youwin poker etc). The game took place on a €150/300 Pot Limit Omaha table and many pots reached €60,000. The game only lasted for 1 hour and 45 minutes and they only played 300 hands. In other words, extremely good action!

According to different rumors, luckexpre is no one else than the Italian poker pro Marcello Marigliano who plays under the alias Luckexpress10 at Full Tilt Poker. Who ever luckexpre may be, he seems to have a healthy bankroll as he's still playing at the nosebleed tables on the Entraction Network.

After summarizing 2010's high stakes games online, we have completed a list over 2010's most successful poker players at Full Tilt Poker. It really ended up being the year of the "newcomers" - Daniel "Jungleman12" Cates grabbed the first place with over $5.5 million won and Andreas "Skjervoy" Torbergsen ended up in second place with almost $3,8 million.

As it goes for Brian Townsend, who was a big winner 2009, he ended up losing the most 2010. Townsend was losing almost every single month and for a long time "the battle" for the not-so-glamorous first place on 2010's biggest loser list was between him and the Finnish poker star Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies. About a week ago, the world's largest poker site, PokerStars, announced that the mystery swede Isildur1 had joined its Team PokerStars Pro. PokerStars also announced that there would be a challenge called SuperStars Showdown in which any player could play against Isildur1. It didn't take long before someone accepted the challenge.

The player who will take on Isildur1 in the SuperStars Showdown is no one else than Isaac "philivey2694" Haxton. The list of Haxton's success online and live can be made long. For example, he was the runner-up in PokerStars Caribbean Adventure ($861,789) back in 2007, he has reached a few final tables at the WSOP and also been successful at PokerStars and Full Tilt's nosebleed tables.

Last week the poker gods were really good to Tom "durrrr" Dwan at Full Tilt's highest tables. Well, he played lots of hands against many different opponents almost every single day - a strategy that paid off quite well as he ended up the biggest winner and almost $600k richer.

Durrrr will for sure be one 2010's biggest winners if nothing goes very wrong in the coming weeks. His biggest threat for the first place will probably be the man he's playing the durrrr challenge against, Daniel "jungleman12" Cates.
