March was a disaster month for the Swedish PokerStars Pro Viktor "Isildur1" Blom. According to a tracking site of poker results, Blom lost 977,786 dollars and ended up as the second biggest loser online (only Scott "URnotINdanger2" Palmer lost more - $990,207). Viktor Blom has lost about $470,000 this year and, according to many, he needs to start winning soon before he runs out of cash.

Yesterday the first game of two was played between the American high stakes regular Scott "urnotindangr" Palmer and PokerStars own Viktor "Isildur1" Blom. It was a swingy 2,500-hand game that saw multiple two-outers, aces cracked, and a $59,000 pot. Blom picked up most of the big pots, however, Palmer picked up many mid-sized pots and gave Blom a very tough match. When 2,500 hands had been played, and after the official chip count was announced, it was Scott "urnotindangr" Palmer who had won with a $5,425 profit.

It only took Isildur1 745 hands to win $106,882 from Ziigmund. It was a well-needed win for the Swede who has lost some serious cash this year.

Today, the final table of the EPT Snowfest Main Event in Hinterglemm, Austria, will be played. All the finalists are guaranteed at least €35,000 each, but of course everyone will do everything in their power to lay hands on the first prize of €390,000.
Chip leader is the Belgian Kevin Vandersrmissen with 4,512,000 chips. It will be interesting to see whether or not anyone can stop him with so many chips. Well, of course anything is possible on a final table and especially when so much money is up for grabs. Now, let's hope for a very thrilling final table!

On Sunday it's once again time for Viktor "Isildur1" Blom and Daniel Negreanu to sit down with $150,000 each at four $50/$100 No Limit Holdem tables and play 2,500 hands (or until someone has lost his entire bankroll). What can we expect from this match? Daniel Negreanu, who lost the previous match in just 1439 hands and wrote on twitter that he was extremely unlucky, is very hungry for revenge and probably better prepared this time.

Day 3 of the EPT Snowfest Main Event is now concluded. 24 of 81 players made it through the day and they will return to play day 4 in a few hours. The one who will return with the biggest stack is Giacomo Maisto from Italy. Maisto managed to overtake former leaders such as Vladimir Geshkenbein (889k) and Philp Meulyzer (762k) and now he has 1,548,000 chips.
Team PokerStars pro Alex Kravchenko, from Russia, is the last big name in the felt. However, this doesn't mean that the rest of the tournament will be boring to watch/follow. All the remaining players have been playing extremely well so far, and since they are only hours away from the final table where some serious cash is up for grabs, we can expect them to play even better from now on.

It's high time to take a look at the EPT Snowfest Main Event, which started 2 days ago in Hinterglemm, Austria. Day 1a and 1b have already been played and 268 of 468 players are now waiting for Day 2 to start.
Ever wondered how tough it is to win an EPT Main Event title? Well, for example, 14 former champions were in the Day 1b field - four of them ended up at the same table - Kevin MacPhee, Liv Boeree, Kevin Stani and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (who arrived a few hours late). All but ElkY made it to Day 2 of the tournament.

Day 3 of the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star tournament has been concluded. 24 players returned to play Day 3, and after many hours of poker there were only 6 players left. Below are the 6 finalists that will battle for some serious cash at 4PM local time.
Seat 1: Mike Matusow - 2,173,000 Seat 2: Mike Sexton - 363,000
Seat 3: Alan Sternberg - 3,701,000
Seat 4: Vivek Rajkumar - 1,616,000
Seat 5: Steven Kelly - 4,169,000
Seat 6: Casey McCarrel - 430,000
As you can see, the final table includes some fantastic poker players. It will be a very interesting and thrilling fight for the top prize of $1,039,00. Personally, I hope for Mike "The Mouth" Matusow to take down the tournament. He definitely needs the cash and he's also the most entertaining player on the final table! May the flop be with him!
