Ottawa Senators-Toronto ML 01:00 2,30 3,80 2,50

Maple Leafs team scope: Goalie James Reimer is expect to make his third start in a row. He has won back-to-back games since the All-Star break, stopping 71 of 76 shots. Forward Rich Clune was re-assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. The Maple Leafs held an optional practice on Friday. Besides Reimer, center Tyler Bozak also played well in the 3-2 shootout win at home against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday. He scored the game-tying goal and assisted on Toronto's first goal, and won 80 percent of his faceoffs (24 of 30). With 31 points in 46 games, Bozak could surpass his career high of 49 points, and his production has come without his usual linemate James van Riemsdyk (broken foot) and Phil Kessel, traded last June. "There was always talk that it was all them and I was just producing because of them," Bozak told the Toronto Sun.

Senators team scope: Center Kyle Turris is a game-time decision. He has missed the past six games with an ankle injury. Left wing Dave Dziurzynski (undisclosed) left the Senators game against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday and is questionable. Forward Max McCormick was re-assigned to Binghamton of the AHL. The Senators did not practice and instead opted for an off-ice workout and team meeting. They also held a team meeting following their 7-2 loss at home to the Oilers and general manager Bryan Murray also addressed the team on Thursday. Ottawa has lost three in a row and since the break has surrendered 13 goals in losses to the Pittsburgh Penguins and Oilers. "It's not fun to lose," goalie Craig Anderson told the Senators website. "It's a snowball effect and hard to stop. We need to take a shotgun and break it up."

Montreal-Carolina Hurric. 20:30 2,30 3,80 2,50

Hurricanes team scope: Carolina ends a three-game road trip Sunday following a 5-3 win against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday. Ward, who made 33 saves Friday, could start his second straight game after missing three weeks with a concussion. "He was good. He made some big saves especially in the second half of the game," coach Bill Peters told the Hurricanes website Friday. "Ward has been real good here since probably early December." Carolina has allowed seven goals in two games since the All-Star break. "We're not quite where we were when we entered the All-Star break; we have to get our team game back to that level," Peters said.

Canadiens team scope: Montreal will try to win consecutive games for the first time since Nov. 20-27, when it won four straight. The Canadiens ended a four-game losing streak with a 5-1 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday; it was their sixth win in the past 27 games (6-20-1). "Two games at home back-to-back, good opportunity for us to get on the right foot," defenseman P.K. Subban, who had a goal and an assist Saturday, told the Canadiens website. "For us, we understand the task in front of us, but we will take this win as a step in the right direction and [the] start hopefully of some momentum for our team." Montreal is trailing four teams for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference after a 9-0-0 start to the season. "We know where we are at [in the standings] and we are going to keep fighting," said forward Tomas Plekanec, who had four points Saturday. "Hopefully this is the start of a solid winning streak that we need to [go] on and keep winning." Mike Condon likely will be in net after Ben Scrivens made 23 saves Saturday.

Ottawa-Tampa Bay Light. 01:30 2,60 3,80 2,20

Lightning team scope: Defenseman Anton Stralman did not practice Sunday because of the flu, but he traveled to Ottawa and is expected to play. Tampa Bay has won three games in a row and 10 of its past 11. After a slow start because of some nagging injuries, center Tyler Johnson had two goals and two assists in the first two games after the All-Star break. "That All-Star break came at a perfect time," he told the Lightning website. "I started to feel healthy, but there's a lot more than just having your body feel good; you have to be mentally there. It was frustrating. The beginning of the season was maybe the most adversity I think I've ever faced on a personal level. I think that All-Star break kind of came at a great time for me to kind of get away from the game, get away from the sport, just kind of refocus, so when I came back, start fresh, start a new page, and I think I've been playing well."

Senators team scope: Forward Mika Zibanejad will not have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for his check to Toronto Maple Leafs forward Tyler Bozak's head in a 6-1 win Saturday, the Ottawa Sun reported. Forwards Chris Neil and Mark Stone missed time because of injury against the Maple Leafs, but each returned to finish the game. Neil was injured when he was hit by teammate Chris Wideman's shot, and Stone was struck in the face by Toronto forward Joffrey Lupul's skate. The Senators did not practice Sunday. Karlsson had four assists against the Maple Leafs. His 59 points are tied for second in the NHL with Dallas Stars forward Jamie behind the Chicago Blackhawks' Patrick Kane (76). "He's the catalyst of this team," coach Dave Cameron told the Senators website. "He's our engine. He was instrumental the last little while of making sure there was accountability, and he backed it up."

StLouis-Winnipeg Jets 02:00 2,00 3,80 3,00

Jets team scope: Winnipeg will be without forward Drew Stafford, who was suspended one game by the NHL Department of Player Safety because of a high-sticking incident against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. "He's our leading goal scorer; that's a big hole to fill," coach Paul Maurice said in a video posted to the Jets website. "We'll move some other people up, give some other people an opportunity." Stafford leads the Jets with 16 goals. The Jets signed defenseman Dustin Byfuglien on Monday to a five-year, $38 million extension. He'll be with the Jets through the 2020-21 season. "I believe in what they're trying to do here," he said. "You can't win a Stanley Cup overnight. It's a process and I feel they're in the right state." The win against the Avalanche was the Jets' second in the past seven games (2-5-0), but they're 3-0-1 the past four road games and 4-1-1 the past six away from MTS Center.

Blues team scope: St. Louis will be missing defenseman Alex Pietrangelo, who was placed on injured reserve Monday because of a right knee injury sustained during a 4-1 victory against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. Pietrangelo will be re-evaluated in three weeks. "Losing a guy like [Pietrangelo], it's not easy. But you can't really dwell on it too much," said goalie Brian Elliott, who will start Tuesday. "He's going to be focusing on getting back and we're just going to try and roll with it while he's gone." Robert Bortuzzo, a healthy scratch the past seven games and 11 of the past 15, will step in and play regularly while Pietrangelo is out. "He's been chomping at the bit," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He's not been happy at the coach for a little while so he gets a real opportunity. And knowing him he's going to take advantage of it." Left wing Jaden Schwartz (ankle) practiced Monday but will not play.

Blues vs Tappara

2

The game is between teams that are very apart in terms of league table spots, Tappara will play the worst team in the league ( Blues ) they lost 5 in a row, they are playing home so this won't be easy but in the end i expect Tappara to fight for the best spot for the playoffs

Rangers team scope: Defenseman Ryan McDonagh (concussion) and Nash (bone bruise) won't play Wednesday, coach Alain Vigneault said. Though Nash is starting to walk without pain, he'll remain off the ice the next couple of days. "Any player thinks he can play through the pain," Vigneault told NorthJersey.com. "He was trying. It wasn't getting better. These bone bruises, you never know how they're going to react." The Rangers will play the same six defensemen from their 2-1 win Monday against the New Jersey Devils, which means Boyle, a left-hand shot, again shifts to the left side alongside Dylan McIlrath. New York has won three straight for the first time since winning nine in a row Oct. 25-Nov. 15. Forward J.T. Miller has scored in nine of his past 10 games as part of a line with Jesper Fast and Derick Brassard that has 10 goals and 23 points in the past seven games.

Penguins team scope: Center Evgeni Malkin will remain sidelined for the next week because of a lower-body injury. Malkin has missed the past three games. "It's not long term, but I don't want to sit here and say it's day-to-day," coach Mike Sullivan told the Penguins website. "It is what it is. We're going to shut him down for this week. He's going to rehab with our staff. We will evaluate him on a daily basis as we go through this process." Defenseman Kris Letang and forward Matt Cullen were given maintenance days Monday. Defenseman David Warsofsky (concussion) skated during practice for the second straight day and there's no change in the status of forward Beau Bennett (upper body). Captain Sidney Crosby has scored in a career-high seven straight games and nine straight on home ice, the second-longest streak in Penguins history behind Mario Lemieux's 16 in 1996. The Penguins have won six straight home games and are 8-0-2 in their past 10 at Consol Energy Center.
