Vancouv-Winnipeg Jets 03:00 2,40 3,80 2,40
Jets team scope: Scheifele has a career-high seven-game point streak (seven goals, four assists) and 18 points (10 goals, eight assists) in his past 12 games. His seven goals in March are the most he has scored in a calendar month in his career. Blake Wheeler, the Jets' leading scorer with 60 points, is five assists from tying his career-high of 47 set in 2011-12. Winnipeg did not practice Sunday. Forward Joel Armia (lower body) will not play. Coach Paul Maurice has not named a starting goaltender.
Canucks team scope: Defenseman Christopher Tanev, who has missed the past three games with an upper-body injury, is questionable. Tanev participated in morning skate Saturday, but did not play in Vancouver's 4-2 win against the Nashville Predators. Forward Brendan Gaunce will be assigned to Utica of the American Hockey League, coach Willie Desjardins told the Canucks website. "He showed us what we needed to see and where he was at," Desjardins said. Desjardins has not named a starting goaltender. Jacob Markstrom and Ryan Miller have alternated the past six starts; Miller made 35 saves against Nashville. The Canucks have won the first two games of a four-game homestand.

Montreal-Florida Panthers 00:30 2,40 3,80 2,40
Panthers team scope: Florida missed an opportunity to move into first place in the Atlantic Division on Monday. The Panthers blew a 2-0 lead in the third period and lost 3-2 at the New York Islanders to begin a three-game road trip. "When you have a two-goal lead with less than 10 minutes left and lose in regulation, well, it doesn't get much tougher than that," Luongo told the Miami Herald. "But at this time of year, we have to be able to put games like this behind us and move on to the next one." The Panthers, who have lost four of their past five games, are in third place in the division with 85 points, one behind the Boston Bruins, who have played one more game. Vincent Trocheck was named the NHL Second Star of the Week on Monday after leading the League with five assists in three games and tying for the League lead with six points.
Canadiens team scope: P.K. Subban will not play against Florida nor against the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday in the second game of a back-to-back. Subban has yet to practice since injuring his neck last Thursday. He is day-to-day, as is forward Lars Eller (flu), who practiced Monday but will not be ready to return Tuesday. They are among 11 players who were out of the lineup because of injury or illness in Montreal's 4-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. The Canadiens are excited about the opportunity to play against Jagr. "He's a legend in the league," rookie Mike McCarron told the Montreal Gazette. "It will be my first time … it will be exciting." Stefan Matteau is questionable with a lower-body injury. Alex Galchenyuk has seven points (six goals, one assist) in his past four games. The Canadiens have lost five of their past seven games.

Jets team scope: Byfuglien (flu) practiced Tuesday, according to the Jets website, after missing a 5-2 road win against the Vancouver Canucks on Monday. "Hopeful," coach Paul Maurice said of Byfuglien's status. "We'll see. He has to get through probably another 24 hours of keeping food down and feeling good. If he is strong [Wednesday], he'll go back in, but we'll wait and see." Defenseman Julian Melchiori remains on emergency recall from Manitoba of the American Hockey League. Center Mark Scheifele has an NHL career-high eight-game point streak (eight goals, four assists) and 19 points (11 goals, eight assists) in his past 13 games. His eight goals in March are the most he has scored in a month in his NHL career. Forward Scott Kosmachuk also remains with the Jets on emergency recall. Maurice has not confirmed a starting goaltender, but Ondrej Pavelec is expected to start the last of a two-game road trip.
Flames team scope: Injured defenseman TJ Brodie (upper body) and forward Sam Bennett (upper body) skated Tuesday but are not expected to play, according to the Flames website. "They did fairly well," coach Bob Hartley said. Each player has missed the past two games. Center Mikael Backlund has a three-game point streak (two goals, one assist); right wing Michael Frolik has a two-game point streak (three goals, one assist). A starting goaltender has not been confirmed, but Joni Ortio has started five consecutive games.
