Toronto ML-Boston Bruins 01:30 2,50 3,80 2,30
Maple Leafs team scope: Toronto defenseman Petter Granberg was claimed off waivers by the Nashville Predators on Sunday. He sustained a torn Achilles tendon in training camp and was placed on waivers in order to be sent to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. The Maple Leafs did not practice on Sunday after back-to-back road games, a 2-1 shootout win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday and the loss in Boston on Saturday. Goalie James Reimer made 35 saves against the Bruins, but had his five-game win streak end. "He came out of training camp, he had a good training camp, and [Jonathan Bernier] got to play all the time," coach Mike Babcock told the Maple Leafs website. "It would've been easy for him to feel bad for himself or be upset. He just dug in and played harder, and maybe he was upset. He's just gotten better and better and he gives us a chance each night he starts. So good for him." This is the first game of a three-game homestand.
Bruins team scope: Boston claimed forward Landon Ferraro off waivers from the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday and placed defensemen Kevan Miller on injured reserve. Miller missed the past two games with an upper-body injury. The 24-year-old Ferraro was out with a lower-body injury before he was placed on waivers by Detroit. He has one goal in 17 career games with the Red Wings and was expected to join the team in Toronto. The Bruins have allowed two goals in back-to-back wins. "Last game and [Saturday], it was much better," coach Claude Julien told the Bruins website on Saturday. "So when you talk about building on certain things, then that's probably something we can certainly build on. It's understanding that if we're stingy, we're going to get that much better of a chance to win."

Anaheim-Calgary Flames 04:00 2,10 3,80 2,80
Flames team scope: Hudler, who missed a 2-1 overtime win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday because he was sick, practiced Monday before Calgary traveled to open a three-game Pacific Division road trip. The Flames have lost 20 consecutive regular-season games at Honda Center (0-15-5); their last win was Jan. 19, 2004. "Each time you have a new team like we have this year, you go in there with a fresh outlook on things," forward Joe Colborne told the Flames website. "It's not going there feeling like we have 15-whatever years of losses that we have to atone for. We have a huge game against a divisional rival and a team we know we're going to be battling with for the rest of the year. We know we have to go in there and steal two points from a good team that plays well at home." Goalie Karri Ramo is likely to make his 11th straight start. He is 6-4-0 with a .907 save percentage the past 10 games. Calgary, which has won three of its past four, will visit the Arizona Coyotes on Friday and the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.
Ducks team scope: Defenseman Hampus Lindholm skated at practice Monday after he sat out a 5-0 loss at the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday because of an upper-body injury. He sustained the injury Thursday in a 3-1 win at the Florida Panthers. Coach Bruce Boudreau told the Ducks website that Lindholm's status for Tuesday had not been determined. Anaheim will play seven of its next eight games at home following a 2-2-0 road trip; three of its next four and four of its next six will be against Pacific teams. "Calgary is a team that works hard and has a lot of team speed," defenseman Cam Fowler said. "They can come at you in a lot of different ways. Their defensemen are extremely active offensively. They have some really good guys on the back end playing good hockey. We have to check properly and make sure we're prepared in our own end." The Ducks are fifth in the Pacific Division with 18 points, one more than the Flames.
