Dallas-St.Louis Blues 03:00 2,20 3,80 2,60
Blues team scope: St. Louis is seeking its season-high sixth straight win; a regulation victory would move the Blues past Dallas into first place in the Central Division. "That's why we've had success; we've played with no memory and no rear-view mirror," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said after a 5-2 home victory against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday. "But I think there will be extra juice for everybody. That's a fun game to play in. Two good teams going at it, two teams that have really had a lot of solid games against each other." Jake Allen, who has a career-high 23 wins after making 26 saves against Anaheim, will start in goal. The Blues will have injured players Alexander Steen (upper body), Brian Elliott (lower body) and Steve Ott (hamstrings) along for the opener of their five-game road trip, though none will play Saturday.
Stars team scope: Dallas could go with Antti Niemi in goal after Lehtonen made 21 saves in a 5-2 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday. Defensemen Jordie Benn (lower body), Jason Demers (shoulder), John Klingberg (lower body), and forward Sharp (lower body) didn't play against Chicago and are not expected to dress Saturday. "St. Louis might be the best team in the League right now [with] the way they're playing, and they're healthier," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said. "[Saturday the] task is going to be even a little more daunting than putting things together the way we did [against Chicago], changing lines around and coming up with the effort we did." This is the second of a five-game homestand; all five opponents are among the top 11 teams in the overall standings.

Lightning team scope: Tampa Bay starts a four-game road trip looking to avoid a fourth straight loss (0-2-1) after a franchise-record nine-game winning streak. The Lightning lost 3-1 to the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday and are three points behind the Boston Bruins for first place in the Atlantic Division after the Bruins defeated the New York Islanders 2-1 on Saturday. "We're playing like we're a comfortable team that's in the playoffs, and if we're going to play like that, we won't make it," coach Jon Cooper told the team website. "That's it. That's how we're playing." Goalie Ben Bishop made 19 saves Friday and is expected to start despite losing consecutive games. Tampa Bay recalled forward Mike Blunden from Syracuse of the American Hockey League on Saturday.
Blue Jackets team scope: Forward Brandon Saad is expected to return after missing three games with an undisclosed upper-body injury. Saad, who leads the Blue Jackets with 24 goals, took part in an optional morning skate Friday but was scratched before the 3-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins; he practiced Saturday. "I felt good," Saad told the Columbus Dispatch. "I skated a little bit yesterday, but getting out there today in a full practice, I got the pace up and got around and saw some pucks. It was good. That was a real test." Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky returned from a groin injury Friday and made 31 saves after missing 19 games. Coach John Tortorella has not named a starter. Forward David Clarkson (undisclosed) didn't practice and is day-to-day. Defenseman Fedor Tyutin didn't practice but is expected to play.
One game on tap for tonight in the N.H.L. The Toronto Maple Leafs at the Detriot Red Wings. The Leafs are coming of a four nothing lose last night against Ottawa and have the least amount of points in the N.H.L. While Detriot is looking to secure one of the last playoff spots in the Eastern Conference pick Detriot GL.
